The walls are paper thin (expected with such an old house). Unfortunately, this meant we could hear the kids of the family that owned the place screaming and crying when they were put to bed. Their room was apparently right next to ours. Then, people below us in the common room (we think it was the aforementioned family that owns the place) were up until 2 in the morning playing a guitar and loudly carrying on. Combined with the worst mattress I have ever slept on meant I literally did not sleep at all the first night we were there. We paid for three nights. We left after the first. Didn't even bother trying to go through the argument of getting our money back, when we booked it was made very clear that there was a no refund policy. Do not stay at the beechwood Inn in Barnstable.

This was our second time staying at the Beechwood Inn in Barnstable MA. It is the perfect B and B for a weekend get away filled with whale watching. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, and their breakfast is excellent. If you're headed to Hyannis for a whale watch, I'd recommend staying here.

If you love antiques and ghost stories,. You will love the comfortable beds and great breakfast and nice people at this inn.
