We had an absolutely lovely stay here! The owners are very helpful, and the room and decor was just gorgeous. It's clear they take a lot of pride in this beautiful home! It's also in such a perfect location, walking distance to anything on Commercial Drive. Highly recommend.

Overall : loved our stay! We really got pampered and taken care of. Every little details was perfect, tons of little thoughts that helps you get the perfect trip, and makes you know that every thing was done with love. Hosts are welcoming and so helpful, we had nice homemade cookies every day, a bus card that helped us avoid the puzzle or figuring out public transit fares, convenient electronic locks so we can't lose keys, etc. We were in Joeys retreat with full modern kitchen, king bed and washing machine. Perfect for travelling with kids. In the basement, but excellent artificial lighting maks it a charm. Location : a bit off center and downtown attractions, but close to local groceries, cafes, restaurants. Had to make about 20 to 30 minutes of public transit every day to get to main city's points of interest. Not a problem, we found close bus stops. What we dislike is that the closest way was to take the buses that crosses th scariest part of town, on Hastings. And in the evening, it scared us even though we never got threatened. Locals say it isn't dangerous. For us, with a baby, it was at the same time scary, but at the same time important experience. Anyhow, you can avoid Hastings by walking to the skytrain.

Beautifully appointed home in the great neighbourhood of the Drive.... a little pricey and no breakfast in house.... but so many great places just steps away.

Probably the best place in Vancouver to stay. The owners are the most lovely people I know. 5 stars doesn't cut it. They go above and beyond.
