Ordered a rib steak and seafood linguine. The linguine tasted good and had big scallops. However, the steak was horrible. It was the most bland steak I have ever ate. I thought the chef forgot to put salt on the steak but the waitress told me their steaks are all lightly salted. I had to ask for salt and pepper and put quite a lot of salt on it to have at least some flavour. If you want a good steak just go to the Keg. Priced the same and tastes 10 folds better.
In short good food horrible service. Me and my partner decided to choose Baton to celebrate our anniversary. Starting off we got seated in a very loud area. It wasn’t possible to relocate, and then we meet our main problem of the night Tim our waiter. He was very cold and seemed like he didn’t want to serve us. I first thought he is having a bad day, but then I saw how he happily treated the people next to us. It was very sad how his attitude and tone ruined our evening. He didn’t check up on is but he did to the table next to us. I can say that the service at other steakhouses like Keg or Chop was 8/10, at Baton it was 2/10. Today proved that no matter how good the food is the service is a very important piece to make the evening special. In addition I requested in the reservation to include a candle on my partners cake, which was not done, but was done to the table next to us. At that point I wanted to call the manager, but didn’t want to cause a scene. The front desk confirmed that we should have gotten a candle but Tim didn’t help me make the surprise come to life. I am very disappointed with the service and will not be returning to Baton.
Great atmosphere, and good food. The steak was made the way I asked medium-well, and the veggies were so soft and tasty. I usually love mashed potatoes but this one had a sour taste which I wasn’t fond of. More items/options on the menu would be great. My senior director from California and I came here for lunch and there wasn’t much options in the menu to choose from.
I love the ambience here. Baton Rouge Steakhouse reminds me of Fleming’s Steakhouse. I ordered the Thai steak salad and it was sooo good. I actually think it’s better than Houston’s Thai steak salad. My friend ordered the prime rib sandwich and enjoyed every bite. Our server was friendly and attentive.
A nice spot to treat yourself, or for special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries etc. The Appetizers had quite large quantities, and was enough for 9 of us. The steak was done to my liking, fries were not too bad, wish it was a bit crispier. Overall a good experience.
Nice environment, lots of booths sections, servers were nice and kind. Ordered 12 oz New York Striploin beef steak and Caesar salad, it was delicious and nicely seasoned. Overall 4 stars!!!
I had dinner at Baton Rouge with my family on Boxing Day. I had the Sante Fe chicken and everyone else had ribs. I was disappointed with the chicken because it was burnt but the ribs were good. Overall, the food and service were acceptable but not great.Recommended dishesRibs
Best ribs! We went for diner on a Saturday night and it was great. The waitress recommended some cocktails and they were really good. The food was delicious as well. Nothing was a miss. Service was impecable.
Haven’t been here in more than 2 years. A new menu but the ribs and the shoestring fries are still great. Service was good and it wasn’t too busy which was nice.
Tim, awesome bartender, made some fantastic old fashioned and Manhattans with bearface eye for me. I had dinner here every night while staying at the Hilton nearby. Never had that rye before and it was pretty tasty. Megan, I training was quite nice and learned what limonchello was. At the end of a successful job I was able to have a prime rib that was seasoned well and the horseradish enchanted well tasting quite fresh. Shout out to the other bartender christene who served me on Thursday. Limonchello after the prime rib was a delight.
