Story

Barre Fitness is a specialized one hour workout that will shape, tone and transform your entire body. The system focuses on sculpting the body proportionally with the use of a ballet barre, exercise balls, hand held weights, and your own body weight. Using a combination of sports and dance conditioning, isometric exercises and orthopedic stretches, clients can achieve firm and fast results!

The South Surrey studio opened on May 26, 2016. The stunning 2,400 sq ft space features a maple hardwood studio floor and designer elements throughout. The locker room has full showers, towel service and there is a purified water station on-site for your convenience. Come hang out before or after your class in our shoes off lounge. Child minding is also available during our 9:30am and 11am weekday classes.

Excellent instruction especially when verbal explanations are given during the class. You will work muscles that you did not know you had. The staff are all very approachable. It is also a lovely setting. Your body will thank you for doing this workout consistently.

Did the 2 week trial in April (an amazing deal at 40.00 unlimited classes) and now back for more this summer. Studio owner, Susan Scarlett, is so passionate about health and exercise; truly a master of Barre fitness. Her classes are challenging, encouraging, uplifting, and empowering. She embodies the compassion and expertise that draws out one's fullest potential for that moment for that day. Always offering modifications to all different levels but keeping the routine fresh and creative from week to week, these classes can be for all levels of learners. 

The studio and equipment are kept in pristine condition with so much attention to the structure and detail of its functionality. It's a fresh and welcoming atmosphere with Taryn at the front desk and Julia in the childcare room (just 5.00 per child - my little guy loves it there). 

As a professional musician and music teacher, I find that the strength gained from these workouts serve in synergy with the physical demands of my line of work; consequently, I have experienced a significant decrease in pain and misalignment. As an avid fitness fanatic with experience at several different gyms, studios, home workouts, and group classes (which I normally hate), I would definitely recommend checking this place out. It's a chance to feel like a ballerina for an hour of your day - how cool is that?! Thank you, Susan and staff! See you at the Barre ;)

Studio is gorgeous, classes are intense, instructors are great. Best hour workout in the neighbourhood!
