Fantastic pizza and pasta. Old school decor hasn’t changed in 30+ years. Decent prices for great tasting pizza. Chicago thin like a cracker. Friendly and attentive staff. Great place for the family to get together.
This is a long-established pizza place that still is a great place to go. We got two side salads and a large cheese pizza which were all delicious. They serve free french bread with oil as a starter, which is fine but not special. There's also a somewhat unknown secret item it's not on the menu you must order if you like spicy food. They have the most amazing soup I have ever tasted. It is a creamy poblano chicken soup. It is quite spicy. But here's the really big secret. You can order a cup, and it's a cup of soup. But if you order the bowl, you don't just get two cups, you get a tureen of soup that can easily serve 3-4 people. And it's only $5! So if you're with a group that likes spicy food, you must, must order the "bowl" of soup.
We had an absolutely AMAZING experience hosting our 3 year old son's birthday party here this past weekend! From working with Dena to plan it all beforehand to working with the staff the day of, they couldn't have done any better. The staff in the Kitchen who were helping the kids make the pizzas and teach them about the Kitchen were amazing and so enthusiastic! The food was phenomenal...everyone at the party was raving about it. The way they set everything up and added some decorations was just the icing on the cake. I highly recommend this place to host your child's birthday party! You won't be disappointed and the pricing is very fair.
We had family dinner party. Had pan pizza, regular pizza and drinks. They offered complimentary bread and special spices powder with olive oil and butter. We had a great time. Established very old. Family established.
A nice little place to dine if you're looking for a great pan pizza outside of the city. It takes about 45 minutes to cook but it's always worth the wait. Delicious!Food: 5/5
Nice little place for a family get together. Didn't have the pizza, which I have heard great things about. They have a very basic pasta menu. They did have gnocchi, my favorite. Marinara sauce had nice chunks of tomatoes in it. Service was great. I would recommend other Italian restaurants over this one though. But a decent place. Kid-friendliness: They do have a children's menu and a little toy for the kids.
Barone’s couldn’t be more of a family friendly and welcoming environment. My toddler has special needs so we were looking for a safe and accepting place to practice dining out at a restaurant and Barones couldn’t have been more accommodating. We went for an early dinner and immediately felt warmth from the wait staff. We were seated in a quiet area of the restaurant and were reassured that our child’s crying was no problem at all. They have a special kids room with toys that was the perfect place to spend time with an anxious toddler and the waitress even came to the kids room to grab my order. The waitress continued to check in on us and offered to turn a show on the TV. A large reservation was coming in while we were dining and they even went as far as to ask what our preference was with regards to seating them as to keep the noise levels down for my son. We couldn’t feel more gracious for how kind and considerate they were for us! We have been long time fans of pickup from here they’re our go-to pizza order but based on our experience today we will be coming back again and again. I cannot sing their praises enough.
Love this place. They have fantastic pizza and it's always been consistent since I first had it 15 years ago. Until tonight. I had my rating at 5 stars and had to knock it down to 3. I ordered an 18" party size half cheese and half pepperoni with extra cheese. The first pizza we picked up was burnt and was lacking cheese. The bottom was partially black. So I called and spoke to the manager. He fixed our credit for our order and sent out a new pizza to be delivered. The pizza came fairly quick and the driver was polite. I proceeded to check the pizza only to discover that the cheese had all slid to the middle somehow during the delivery process I I'm assuming. Picture above. I called the driver back inside to view the pizza for himself. He said that we could keep this pizza and they would remake one for the 3rd time. Now we wait after speaking with Tara, owner over the phone about our not so good experience this evening. Also Tara claimed the driver told her it wasn't that bad and not to worry about it, and the driver telling us something completely different. Problem rectified but a hassle non the less. The third pizza arrived swiftly by the manager. Needless to say it's perfect as expected. He came in to ensure of our satisfaction. Will continue my business with Barone's in the future. Things happen.
The cheese is spot on. The pizza is tasty and flavorful, but the sausage needs help. Nonetheless, will certainly get again.Food: 5/5
Well, this is the third time in a row the cheese has been burnt and I specifically told the person who took my order, please do not burn the cheese. I’m not sure if there are new cooks or what the problem is but when you spend $33 on a pizza, you expect it to be decent. 23 Nov 2022 - well, this is the FOURTH time in a row the cheese has been burnt and once again, I told the person who took my order, please do not burn the cheese. I guess I’ll just have to bring it back and ask them to try again until they get it right.
