Sharon and Malcolm were the most wonderful, thoughtful and kind hosts and truly made our stay in Banff so special! From arriving to the cabin to find a birthday card and wine waiting, to the daily delicious homemade muffins for breakfast, to the endless recommendations and fun chats, you really couldn't find better hosts. The cabin itself is beautiful, just as pictured, clean and with a comfortable bed. The cabin is equipped with guidebooks, lists of restaurants, walking sticks and bear spray. We really enjoyed being able to borrow bikes to ride around town. Malcolm also recommended his favorite private viewpoint in town, that we packed a picnic to. The location truly can't be beat. Really, there wasn't a single negative part of our stay - it was hands down the best rental experience we've had.
Sharon and Malcolm are the best hosts you could imagine! They made our four night stay so very special! They saw to our every need and even went downtown to pick up a suitcase we had to purchase due to airline damage so we didn’t have to wrestle it back with us. The breakfasts were fresh and amazing each day and the cold bubbly drinks each evening so special and refreshing. The cabin is very quaint, comfortable, and lovely located near the Bow River and walking trails. Bikes were even provided to use we wanted. I used an adorable purple bike to ride in the evenings. We definitely would stay here again on our next visit to Banff. Thanks Sharon and Malcolm
We have stayed here a few times when we want a quiet, relaxing getaway. We even got engaged here! Sharon and Malcolm are incredible hosts - warm, knowledgeable about the best eats and things to do, and they make the most delicious breakfasts! Our mouths water every time we think about their homemade waffles and muffins :P The cabin is super cute and cozy, and the location is perfect for enjoying Banff without the busyness of staying downtown. The Banff Log Cabin will continue to be our home away from home when we need to get away from it all :
Let me see how do you define 'perfect' ... three words "Banff Log Cabin". Joyce and I traveled to Banff on our honeymoon, yes in December with snow and colder weather. From the minute we arrived at the cabin we loved it and felt the warmth. Malcolm and Sharon are such great hosts from those amazing muffins/coffee each morning get ready to make some tough decisions, suggestions for how to get the best from Banff and on and on. It was all amazing and so hard to leave. We left with the 'Banff Log Cabin" high on our list of places we would like to see again. We even invested in a couple mugs to stir daily sweet memories. Thanks for everything Malcolm and Sharon.
We really loved our 2 night getaway here! Malcolm and Sharon were great hosts and we loved the amazing breakfasts delivered by them each morning. Malcolm graciously set up the outdoor fire pit so all we had to do is light it. We really loved sitting by the fire out in the cool winter evenings. Great to be close to downtown which we walked each evening for dinners. We were very close to the Banff springs and enjoyed snow shoeing on the golf course. We would definitely come back ! J & C
This 5 star quaint cabin is a dream. The location is wonderful, walkable to town and the Bow Falls trail. Let’s talk about the decedent breakfast each morning - in room delivery by your wonderful hosts Sharon and Malcolm. Fresh fruit, juice and delicious waffles/muffins. If you want an evening fire around the firepit, it’s just a simple request and it’s ready to light when you return from dinner. Grab your glass of wine and listen to the Elk bugle away. Our trip in September was amazing and hope to be back!
The Banff Log Cabin was the perfect accommodation for our stay in Banff. The cabin itself is very comfortable and beautifully decorated. Every morning, the owner Sharon served us the most delicious breakfast with freshly baked muffins to start our day. The cabin's location is just a short distance from downtown Banff, easily reachable by foot or bike which are free for guests to use. We especially loved exploring nearby attractions by bike and thus being able to avoid the busy traffic in town. Nearby activities: Close to town, the river and Bow Falls Walkability: Just a short walk from town
Sharon and Malcolm are delightful hosts! We were welcomed as soon as we arrived, and they took fabulous care of us for the duration of our stay in their quintessential and cozy log cabin! Each morning we were served fresh from the oven muffins they live up to the expectation!, very thoughtfully made fruit cups, yogurt, fresh juice and coffee! Who doesn't love breakfast in bed? They provided a turn down service each night, complete with cozy lamps and treats on the pillow! And they didn't miss a trick, leaving us champagne and more treats on our anniversary; very fun to come home to after a day of skiing and boarding! We truly appreciated their warm hospitality and genuine personalities! On top of all of this, the cabin is nestled on a cozy, quiet street just moments from the stunning views along the Bow River Trail and pedestrian bridge into town. We highly recommend the Banff Log Cabin! Walkability: Very close to the Bow River Trail and adorable pedestrian bridge; stunning mountain views! The cabin is literally a 10 minute walk to the heart of downtown; it's a perfect location!
There aren't enough stars available to indicate how much we recommend the Banff Log Cabin! It was like having a good friend host you in an amazing, cozy, room that fits so authentically into the Banff experience. You get personal and friendly service for all aspects of your stay. Who doesn't want homemade waffles or muffins for breakfast! Food & drinks: Forget the hotel version of 'breakfast included', here you get fresh out of the oven muffins, with extra to tuck into your bag for later. Noteworthy details: A unique vibe that makes you feel like an early visitor to Canada's first national park.
Such a lovely hidden gem. Sharon and her hubby are very welcoming, they also offer take down service which was so nice. Cabin is quite, comfy and relaxing. They also gave us little books to read/borrow about the history of the cabin and how it was built to our delight. Walkable distance to the Banff springs hotel. Breakfast came perfectly on time and was homemade! We can’t wait to go visit this place again Food & drinks: Vary tasty home made goods for each morning breakfast.
