A big, level, track and field green space with clean bathrooms, a playground, swings, an empty wading pool, and a second soccer/rugby field with a corner for baseball. There are a few benches, but I didn’t see a picnic table. Kids will like climbing on the tree stump sculptures. Enjoy!
`Balaclava Park is a charming spot that promises a refreshing outdoor experience for all age groups. Additionally, the park includes a small but picturesque lake, which is a favorite spot for picnickers and those looking to enjoy a quiet moment by the water. The cleanliness of the park is commendable, and the presence of benches and picnic tables makes it a great spot for a family out
This was an absolutely great place to watch the Northern Lights show last Friday night, May 10, 2024.
A popular park with multiple soccer and and basball fields and a weĺl-used running track. A children's playground has a neighbourhood vibe and a small infant swing site is about 70 meters to the east. A congenial and regular group of dogs are often off leash in an area of the park. There is a change and washroom building in the parknnext to two trimed trunks popular for climbing and a dry wading pool.
This is quite a large park set in a quiet neighbourhood in the Dunbar area of Vancouver..there are multiple sports events that take place at different times of the year—baseball, soccer, rugby, track and other activities in the sports community areas..this is a great place for those 10,000 steps to be counted or simply sitting on the many bench areas and enjoy the scenery with the North Shore Mountains viewed about the park trees..
