Bacon And Bleu

When the server "warned" us about the yeast root beer being unique, and then offered us samples first, I knew the service would be excellent. Fortunately Bishop's Beer root beer is exactly what my own dad made during my childhood, so I love that yeast flavor. Try it! At least sample it. The mug stayed frosty to the end of the meal. Good luck finishing the mass of fresh cut fries you get. Those were perfectly cooked, with two different fry sauces typical Idaho plus a kicked up one. Our various sandwiches were well-executed. And, like I said, the service turned out as excellent as expected. Highly recommended. It was packed at Saturday lunch. Good for them.

We had been recommend this place on two occasions by two separate individuals. We decided to try it and was not disappointed. We got the Bacon & Bleu burger and the Spicy Southwester Burger. My wife likes to split our food so we each ate half of each sandwich. Both of us had a similar thing to say. While the flavor of both burgers differed from each other, we couldn’t decide which was our favorite. Which is rare for us to have two dishes different enough and enjoy both equally to not have preference over the other. They fries looked similar to fries you might get at Five Guys, but they had a crispier taste to them. They didn’t look very seasoned but the taste was perfectly seasoned. We learned later that the fries are freshly cut that day and double fried. My wife and I were impressed with both burgers and the fries also. Fries come with a tasty fry sauce as well. I was also amazed at the cleanliness of the restaurant. I’m not one to get held up on whether a place is clean or not I mean if it’s very messy I will noticed but rarely have I walked into a place and been amazed with how clean it looks. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and the service was very good. My wife and I were both surprised at how quickly our food was served, especially for a place like this one. And the food was warm. We will definitely recommend this location and will most likely be returning again.

This is a cute family owned restaurant. We tried the new special Asian inspired chicken bites, served with a wasabi ranch dressing. They were ok. We also ordered the Bacon and Bleu burger with fries. The sandwich was good. The blue cheese was not over powering, which was nice because you could actually taste the burger. The fresh fries were seasoned, but unfortunately they were not crisp or hot. And for some reason we had very dry mouths after eating.

This was our first time here. We were greeted as soon as we entered and seated right away. The area we were in didn't have a lot of tables but there was another area as well. I had the Oinker which is pulled pork with bacon on a French roll. I had cheese and BBQ sauce on it. The bread was wonderful and the American was delicious. It was big so we cut it and my husband ate half. He had the BLT, which was also great. We shared his as well. You can have fries or a different side. I had a house salad and my husband had the Caesar salad. They were delicious and a wonderful size. The restaurant was very clean and our server was fantastic. We were so full that we didn't get dessert. But they have quite a few great choices. I was very impressed with the food and I know we will be coming back. Prices were great. The parking lot isn't very big so you have to park in the street if it is full. I'm not sure if there is other parking around back.

I heard about Bacon and Bleu Family Restaurant from the family. We went today and it was great! We got the deep fried bacon as an appetizer and I ordered the Patty Melt you see in the picture below. Our server did a fantastic job and the atmosphere was very friendly.

We tried this place a few months ago. They were out of a few dishes. I ordered a cheese stuffed hamburger. It was a bit on the dry side. The deep fried pickle chips were good, but very greasy. I’ll have to try it again.

Great food great service. They were very kind and attentive. I got their stuffed bacon and Bleu burger and it was very savory. Their fries were very good as well. I also got their homemade rootbeet and it took me back to a family Swedish rootbeer recipe I grew up with. This is a hidden gem in Idaho Falls. I will be coming back.

Walking into the Bacon and Bleu you instantly have the feel of a warm pub atmosphere. The staff are patient and efficient. We were immediately greeted and seated. The server was on his A game. He promptly popped over to our table to take a drink and appetizer order. Within minutes he returned with our drinks and in less than 10 minutes after ordering we had our pretzel with cheese. The pretzels were hot and the cheese was delicious. It's an in-house cheese sauce. Highly recommend. My husband and I had steak sandwiches. He got the Bacon and Bleu and I got the shrooms and steak. Both sandwiches were expertly crafted. The hoagie bread was warm and not soggy. The steak cooked to perfection, not a dry bite of steak at all. The veggies all cooked perfectly, no crunch but not soggy. We will be coming back again. You could feed a family here but I highly recommend a date night with just the adults. Thank you so much to the staff for being prompt and making one of the best meals I've had in a long time.

Place had great service. Lined menu, but the food we ordered was good. The rooms in the restaurant felt a little like a maze.
