I have been a fan of this restaurant for over 20 years. When you walk in, you will not be overwhelmed with decor or ambience, but what you were going to find is amazing seafood at a reasonable price. This is my first time eating here, since I moved away 10 years ago, and I was delighted to find that, despite new ownership, the food was as good as I remembered. I have traveled all over the country, and their clam chowder is probably the best I have ever had . If you were planning to eat here, I would suggest highly that you add the clam chowder to your order. You will not regret it. I ordered the two piece cod and it came with fries and coleslaw. Everything was fresh and delicious. Our table was clean and staff was quite friendly and helpful! They had made a mistake with one of our orders, and provided us with their dessert turnovers to even everything out and they are the only place that is still making turnovers in the deep fat fryer. I had the BlackBerry, which was delicious and everyone else had the Apple, and they said they were also quite amazing. They said they taste like the apple turnovers used to taste at McDonald's before they decided to be healthy lol! If you find yourself in Idaho Falls, I highly recommend that you make The Gang Plank one of your lunch or dinner stops. You won't regret it!
We waited for 30 mins for our food.. the people behind us received their dinner first .. got the chicken an 3 shrimp with super cold fries.. went bk to let them know they were cold an they still gave me cold fries bk like really.. wow..!!.. at least the shrimp was good..!!! This is nothing close to skipper's!! Wish that seafood place was still open! Lots of cold fries did I say that already!! Oh yes coleslaw was cold an crisp! For such a small menu you would think everything should be fresh! Features: No masks, no 6ft., No hand sanitizers anywhere..
We really enjoyed their fish and chips with waffle cut fries. Their bread bowl with chowder was also a great choice. The crushed ice with their Dr Pepper was really great!!! Thanks for the great seafood in Idaho Falls.
This is a fun place. The food is alright. I like the theme and decor of the place. This place is mainly a fish and chips place. There are other places I prefer for fish and chips, so this wouldn’t be my first choice. I do recommend trying the place out.
Decent fish and chips. However the chips are not traditional English chips and are actually waffle fries. The portions are on the smaller side but are good.
Really good cod, shrimp po' boys, fries, and cole slaw!! The employees are super friendly and fun to talk with! We'll be back, for sure! Parking: Easy access!
Blown away! Didn’t know that little place I’d driven by a million times had such DELICIOUS food! Fish is flaky, clams not rubbery, oysters tasted amazing! First time visiting last night, Friday evening. I brought the family just to get out of the house and we've never been. Everything we ordered was delicious which is rare for the restaurant business. We ordered the shrimp, The Nashville chicken sandwich with cheese curds, it was mildly spicy and delicious, which I like, as well as the fried cucumbers and fries. For desert we had the apple pies and blue berry pie which were pipping hot, so good!! The price is fair; generally speaking. The reason I will return on a regular basis to try the rest of the menu is the staff. Very friendly, absolutely professional. Easy to talk to and knowledgeable about the menu. Everyone was pleasant and worked diligently to make our experience an enjoyable one and for that I would like to say Thank you! The atmosphere is cozy. The decor is fun and the dining area was clean and organized. If you enjoy the fish and chips menu you have to give this place a try. It's a must. Kid-friendliness: Plenty of options for kids. Even for the picky eaters.
I just love this little local spot. The staff is awesome and the food is always fresh. I had the cod, and my wife had the Nashville chicken sandwich. She was glad to finally find a place that knows what the heat level should be. Yeah, it's a little pricier than fast food, but it's good food. And that's what matters.Food: 5/5
An amazing gem!! The gluten free fish and chips were awesome! Great flavor and size. Waffle fries were done perfectly. Staff was the best, able to answer questions, super nice and friendly. The restaurant was clean, well-stocked and bathroom was spotless. Great find! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free friendly
