Avis Car Rental

Glad I bought the windshield insurance as recommended by the rental agent. I took the car from Calgary to Toronto and back. Got hit pretty bad by stone chips, twice, on Canada 1. With the insurance, the check-in was worry free and swift - just filed a simple report for formality.

Staff were friendly and easy to get a hold of on the phone. This was lucky as I found the location very difficult to find and it was close to closing time, when dropping off the vehicle, which is in a multi story car park. The signage is very poor, so I had to call to get instructions. Not sure why they dont just put an additional sign at the entrance. For future reference, its level 7 - east.

Worst car rental location in Calgary. Slow, unprofessional servise. Never managed to get them on the phone. Either the line is busy or they put you on hold for an hour. Do not recommend unless you do not have any other choice.

Called and asked for prices on the car rentals. Was told I would be called back momentarily. Was not called back, gave enterprise the $700 worth of business.

The quality of the fleet (overall pretty new, the choice of makes and models) and the cleanliness and the appearance of the vehicles. The vehicles are always well cleaned. The location office is neat and professionally set up. The return and pick-up procedures are quiet clear and smooth. The staff are professional.
