Was traveling on the shubenacadie river behind the store this week and stopped in to get food for the day. Asked the staff if it would be possible to use the washroom and was told it was only for seniors and children and to walk to MacDonald's (at least 20 minutes away) . Offered to pay for the use of it but was still declined. Asked to speak with the manager to explain the situation and was told by staff they would go out back and ask. Refused again, this time by the manager. My suggestion is to avoid this store and head to a business that treats people/customers with a little dignity.

The produce and frozen meat are typically good, but sometimes the stock of particular items are inconsistent. The ice cream is delicious of course, but they often run out of popular flavors quickly. The garden center has basic items, flowers, vegetables, seeds, and soil. The strawberry plants were quite good. The staff are generally good, but sometimes need promoting when you need help.

Fantastic marker! Great selection of fruit and veggies, with extremely reasonable prices! A small selection of convenience foods (keeps you from eating all that processed junk :) ), some local frozen meats (the hamburger and the haddock are yummy!) and baked goods for those days you just don't want to make cookies! Staff are all very friendly and helpful. I shop a whole lot less at the big chain grocery stores these days!
