Go here for authentic Tamil food, the South Indian type from interior Tamil Nadu. Stand outs - parotta, chicken korma, mutton sukka. I'm glad they're not located in Mississauga, as I'll otherwise be eating there everyday. Don't expect quick service or look forward to great ambiance - you're going here for a "Ponnusami" or other restaurant experience like those from Madras that feed you and feed you well. For people unawares on what to order, stick to parotta think of a better tasting lacha paratha and the 3 optional gravies veg, chicken or chicken Chettinad. The taste rivals to what I've eaten back home. A high recommendation for easily the best parotta, chicken korma reminiscent of authentic tasting foods from Madurai / Thanjavur etc.
We were randomly craving for south indian food, & found this place. All stars to the place, the service was great, the customer service was fab & the food was the best part, delicious. A must try is the snacks & the chicken korma.
This food at Atchayam can make your day ! It is delicious as well as very fair price ! Dosa is the USP however I loved Mendu Vada, Idli, Dal wada and Kotthu Paratha. Definitely worth visiting!Food: 5/5
Was a bit hesitant to try out this restaurant as I wasn’t impressed with the already existing photos. However we tried this restaurant for lunch as we were nearby that area. We ordered lunch and chicken 65 Biriyani. The good thing about the lunch was the puli kulambu and poriyal items tasted exactly like back home. However the other items like sambar and rasam with the lunch were mediocre. The chicken 65 Biriyani was like the worst tomato rice with chicken pieces. The Biriyani rice were chunky and huge. The chicken 65 Biriyani spoiled my appetite and I regretted hugely for having tried it. We also had tea and it was mediocre too. However their vada was awesome though they were smaller. May be this restaurant is not good for rice dishes. Anyway, it will be hard to convince me back to this restaurant after having food that spoilt my taste buds.
Food is good can’t complain but they need to have a server attending the guests. Washroom needs care as paper dispenser not filled. We understand it’s a self serving restaurant but at this prime location to improve the business they need to appoint a server at least. On the way to washroom they have stacked boxes which is blocking the way and it’s against fire code. I wish them if they find a bigger location they will flourish good. Vegetarian options: Sambar was tasty Parking: Around 7 - 8 spots
We had vada, dosa and mutton kotthu - all three were really nice. Their mango lassies are so good. We would go back again. Their customer service is so good - such kind people.Food: 5/5
They accommodated gluten free requests. Almost everything except chapati is gluten free here. I liked the food and also great prices and quality!Recommended dishesMasala Dosa
The taste is 10/10 Just made reminded of India. The owner is very friendly and sweet to talkFood: 5/5
We tried their masala dosa, it wasn't crispy as expected but taste was good. We also ordered chicken thali and quantity was great. Chicken curry tasted pretty good and we loved the chicken 65 pieces. The onion pakoras were excellent and the lentil fritters were crispy. The masala tea was pretty good too. The restaurant has small but adequate number of seating. I enjoyed talking with the guy at the cashier. Really funny and welcoming. Keep it up guys. Dietary restrictions: It says halal but didn't ask for certificate.
Authentic South indian taste!! Must visit place!! Kara dosa was awesome!! Reasonable Price!!Food: 4/5
