We been coming here quite often, mostly for weekend brunch. But for some odd reason, their service keep getting worst. Specially today I ordered our meals for dine in, and the server is consistently showing attitude, most of the time I overlook it, but just couldn’t do it today. What really bothered me is when I asked for receipt, she took the money, gave me back my change, then she send it to print and pointed me the machine and asked me to get it myself, when it was more closer to her than me. The reason why we often come here, is because the price is reasonable, but if the service continues to go down the way it is, we might have to pick a different restaurant. Strongly suggest they up their service a little so it feels good to be here…
This review is based on the fact that they are basically a cafe. I ordered a karak chai, French vanilla chai, Karachi bun kebab, and a kabab roll. Their chai was fantastic although a bit small for a regular. Their bun kebab tasted good as did the kebab roll. They both very small though, and not at all filling. More snacks with chai than a meal. They had good hospitality, fast service, and a clean place. As a cafe run by Muslims serving halal food, this place was great. If you are looking to eat lunch, dinner, etc. then this place is not for you.
Small restaurant with 10/12 sitting arrangements. The place was neat and clean. There was a friendly girl helping us order at the counter. We order tea & kebab in roti, it tasted little sweet but liked it. Recommended if you are craving indian snacks like food.
Just had our first experience of ordering 2 breakfast deals from here and I am really really disappointed. The qty is extremely low against the price of the food. The parathas that they gave seemed to be frozen parathas that you can buy from Desi store. My suggestion to them would be to focus more on your taste and quantity rather the branding and packaging. People come for food and not for good packaging. Not recommend at all as ita a complete waste of money.
Me and my family went there for chai. Really loved their place, items, european style decoration and service. We had their most selling chai. Got the exact flavor of Indian chai that I had in India. They should put less sugar in their regular chai, and it is a suggestion from my side. Apart from that, really loved the gathering and line for the coffee. There were many people from Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and few Canadian as well. Will recommend going their, and we will go there as well for a good cup of tea. Best of luck Chaiiwala of London, keep Rollin!!
Chaiiwala, mainly recognized for its Chai Tea and All Day Indian Breakfast, also has a large selection of Summer Drinks now. The UK-based cafe now has 3 locations in Scarborough & Mississauga. Last winter, the Scarborough location was my go-to place for the Pink Chai and Kadak Chai. This Summer, we checked out almost all of the Summer Drink Series of Chaiiwala. We are recommending everyone try all of them. Each drink had its unique taste with the perfect amount of sweetness. The desserts are always nice and light, not overpowering! Everything is under $10. The employees are knowledgeable about the menu and acknowledge food preferences. Lots of parking spaces around at the Scarborough location. By the way, have you tried their Chai rusk with the tea yet? 55 Lebovic Ave, Scarborough, ON IG @allfoodiesnamaste
A hidden gem in Uptown Waterloo, Café 22 22 King St S, Waterloo, ON N2J 1N8 is so much more than a café. Independently owned by the Balta Family and serving true Italian food, this cozy eatery is the perfect venue for friendly hangouts and corporate meetings alike! I got the classic combination of a Caffè Latte and a Grilled Veggie Panini - truly one of the best cups I have had in a while, paired with the perfect food! Each sip of the latte was utterly refreshing and the delightful ambience was perfect to de-stress before my interviews. Great concept and experience. The food was good too. Pink chai was too sweet for my liking. The kebab rolls and Gulab Jamun cheese cake was tasty
An absolute delightful cafe visit! From the ambiance to the customer service and then to the food, it was definitely time well spent. The Karachi Bun Kebab, fully loaded and Chicken Tikka in Naan was nice and warm when served, tasted fresh and had the perfect amount of sauce/chutney included where the cooks also did not cheap out with the ingredients that were added. Each dessert tried also had its unique taste with the perfect amount of sweetness, bitterness and/or tanginess. Cheesecakes we’re also nice and light, not overpowering! The price was so worth the items! The customer service was also on point. All employees were respectful, knowledgeable and polite! When ordering, I was blown away by the cashiers respect and acknowledgement to food restrictions! She asked whether or nut allergies were an issue and wanted us to be aware of the nut inclusion in the dessert - I’d say this is very considerate. The food was also delivered in a timely manner.
We specially went their for brunch and it was blast!!! Small nice and cozy place for breakfast or Brunch for desi people!! I would highly recommend for tea lovers! Also please try their Carrot Sundae if you have a sweet tooth! You will love it!
