I was waiting for my doctor next door and decided to buy the butter chicken from Chola. The food was surprisingly goood... It's very creamy with a lot of spices combination, very complex tasted. You won't regret to try! The second picture was from another restaurant in downtown that charges me 18 dollars, compare to Chola $12 i ordered the day before, it looks sad, and taste sader. Literally chicken in can tomato sauce, don't see or taste the spices at all. The restaurant that takes they heart and passion to prep the food deserves the 5 star. Ordered 3 days in 2 weeks already.
A small, unpretentious small South Indian restaurant that amazed me! We ordered chicken 65 as appetizer followed by two different dosa, one Mysore Masala Dosa and a Rava Dosa which were absolutely tasty and huge in size but quite thin and satisfying. Their masala dosa food were so good that we went back and tried a few more dishes including Sambar, Chole Bhature, Parotta, Tawa, Kothu and Paneer Karahi with Naan and Lababdar, all takeout! Although a small kitchen, the ingredients used to cook the food are fresh, good quality and the chef does a fantastic job in balancing numerous spices. What I like the most about this restaurant is most of the food is made to order so it will take time from order to completion so I suggest order before you leave home, it is worth it. I'm unsure whether they have an air conditioner or the kitchen maybe too busy, but if you are planning to dine it, it may be a warm! I LOVE this small little place!
I have driven past this restaurant many times and have always seen it packed! Finally visited for the first time to celebrate a birthday, and the food was exceptional with equally amazing service. Definitely a neighbourhood gem! Can’t wait to come back next!
My friends from South India can attest to the taste and authenticity of the fare here. The food came out great and was very tasty. The negative thing I want to point out is that wait times are extremely long. On one hand that is a good thing because you know the food is prepared fresh, however the time it took for our food to be served is a little over the acceptable amount of time for me. Another thing is the overall branding of the place seems lacking. The tables & chairs, wall decor, and overall furnishings of the place is serviceable, but surely could use some more work and thought put into it.
We only did take out but man was the food delicious! The spices were just right and authentic. Average cost per dish with ample portion sizes. Definitely want to visit again! The food does take some time to be made but was still hot when we got it.
This little gem is on a small strip mall. Got their massive paper Dosa, chicken Biryani, Dal and side of Roti. Service was super friendly. Food was probably one of the best Indian food that I've had. The ambiance & decor was the not the best but I'll overlook it cuz the food is bomb. The Dosa was ridiculously large and fresh. The chicken Biryani was spicy but the chef added so many different herbs and spices, that each bite was a real surprise. The Dal was mild but flavorful and amazing. Comes with rice but I ordered a side order of Roti which again was super fresh. It takes a while for them to make the food so be patient as you know everything is from scratch. Will be back!
We've visited this place 3 times in the last 2 months and are still craving to go again. The best taste in Canada I ever had! Took me back to the authentic Indian taste, I said AUTHENTIC. Perfect in all the dishes.
They have the best noodles and fried rice. Tastes so much like Indian street food that we crave for here in Canada. You can customise the spice level and adjust accordingly. Their cut mirchi was ultimate tawa fish needed some salt. I have had food from this place earlier on a take out and the food taste was same. The place is small and the service was ok. Definitely as must try place..
Went there on New Years with family. Its at a convenient location and has parking . The place has limited seating and is small but we found a table right away. The Menu has lots of options but we ordered from Classic Tamil Cuisine. Mysore Bonda-Hot and fluffy with coconut .It is a perfect appetizer The coriander chutney could be better. Fish Pakora-lots of flavour and melts in mouth . All the dosas came with 3 delicious chutneys and sambar. Usually every other dosa place has kind of bland sambar or chutney but their Sambar was so flavorful and chutneys as well. Paper Dosa -Huge and authentic. It took my brother forever to finish it. Masala Dosa- Quite big with tasty filling Rava Masala Dosa-Every little part of this was crispy and delicious and complemented with filling. Madras Coffee-Served in a classic way with 2 utensils .It tasted rich with right of amount of bitterness and so creamy. Masala Chai-Tasted like a real street chai .Its quite hard to find good masala chai but this is it. Service was very good and the servers were quite busy but took care of us. The wait times are quite long but the quality and taste makes up for it. I will definitely go back for more. Totally recommended.
The food is really awesome, so fresh and authentic. They serve different cuisines and all of them are on point. Chilli chicken is one of the best in town. I would recommend to go for it and also chicken lababdaar custom made along with thin crispy butter garlic naan. Best time to visit is on weekdays as they are really busy on weekends and you might have to wait for the table.
