I was surprised at how stress-free buying a huge sofa was when I walked in to Ashley in Barrie. The staff were extremely helpful, not pushy - just very informative and personable. I prefer not to be followed around and pressured when trying to make a decision. The staff at Ashley gave just the right amount of attention. When I was ready to order they did a price match for me and I was delighted to hear that the sofa was in stock. Delivery was about 2 business days with constant updates being text/emailed to me regarding arrival time. Delivery staff were efficient and friendly. I opted to have the item dropped in my garage. But they would have put it in my basement and assembled it for $100. I might opt for that next time. I even took the extended warranty - which I never usually do. The deal was so good and the benefits of the warranty seemed too good to be true - accidental damage is even covered. And if I don’t use it, I get a store credit after 5 years for the full amount. I just hope the sofa lives up to all the positive reviews. Will definitely shop here again.
Michelle at the Barrie store was amazing to deal with. Not only did she help with our purchase, she was professional, approachable and extremely kind. I would gladly go to her for any future purchases and assistance. We have always loved the quality and style of the furniture at Ashley Home as well. It just so happens that I got to chat with a wonderful sales associate along the way!
We have had the WORST experience with Ashley Furniture. We had purchased from Ashley before and did not have any issues. Not sure what is going on in the organization but the quality of furniture is cheap and was not made in North America as per what we were told when we had purchased it. The furniture off-gassed for months and we couldn't even sleep in our bedroom for weeks and the inside of the drawers still smell awful. The White Glove service was horrible with the delivery team scratching our floor and scuffing the walls. They delivered damaged furniture, which was obvious and left a mess behind. The Customer Service team was hit and miss and refused to escalate any concerns. Our home damage claim was declined without them even speaking with us. They pretty much said that we were lying, even though I had the delivery team take pictures...which never made it to their office. Unbelievable! Every item in the bedroom suite we purchased was damaged. It's been well over 5 months of trying to get resolution. I'm exhausted and stressed out over this experience. Their automated scheduling system is also frustrating and needs to better reflect the customer's request of the times that work best for delivery and service. We're down to just one more outstanding issue with a nightstand which their service person was unable to fix today. The drawers still do not line up properly. I had requested a replacement several times to no avail. So I'm almost at the "I give up" stage, but this just isn't right. Ashley Furniture is not standing behind their products or service. Please...someone from Ashley call me with some kind of resolution. We do not recommend Ashley Furniture to anyone at this time.
Went into the Barrie location with a pretty good idea of what I wanted having done the research first. Carlos listened to my thoughts and made some great suggestions. After a few back and forths Carlos had me down to 2 options. I made my purchase later that day! On top of that the customer service team had my order processed and booked in minutes. I visited most of the key furniture stores in South Barrie, best service at Ashley's, hands down.
I have had the best experience with Debbie in the Barrie store. After replacing furniture damaged from the tornado, I have added to more rooms. Great quality and customer service. I ordered office furniture from Leon's and was totally disappointed as it was delivered twice damaged. Definitely recommend Ashley furniture and ask for Debbie she's great and fun to work with. into
Recently bought a couch here for the first time and we absolutely love it. Sat down in one section and I heard a crack. Called customer service and they said no problem, let's schedule a service call. Everything was done through text asking for times that work, also confirmed drop off and pick up. Was told they will have the couch like new in 7 days. Arranged a pick up on a Monday and the following Monday as they promised our couch was delivered. I was truly impressed, this is the definition of white glove service and when we need any anything else for the house in the future we will definitely be stopping by Ashley's !
We are beyond happy with our product! The people at Ashley were superb! Waren to name specifically was a pleasure to meet and work with! We got our items in less than 4 days and at the best price. We are so happy to have stopped by to look - we are now life long customers.
We had the honor of meeting Matt. He was amazing and went above and beyond to do everything he could to make us happy. We left feeling like best friends/family. The reason for only 4 stars is from the manager of the store. Her attitude was horrible. I would not have noticed her if she hadn't started yelling at Matt while he was in the middle of his sale. When she come to help with the paperwork she was cold and miserable with us. If it wasn't for Matt I would have walked out and not made our purchase
I’ve had a terrible experience dealing with Ashley furniture since purchasing a sectional. The couch arrived with a huge tear and 2 of the cushions were sagging when sitting on them. The cushions were replaced but still sag. This does not happen in store so I believe there is an issue with the frame integrity but Ashley furniture says that’s not the case, I beg to differ. It’s a brand new couch. Twice repair people have shown up but Ashley’s customer service has failed to schedule enough time for them to fix the tear on the couch. Then they realized the sent the wrong part for the couch. It’s been 3 weeks and the issues with the BRAND NEW 4500 COUCH still are unresolved. It’s been an awful experience so far. Update : I have now found out that the showroom furniture, according to Ashley’s customer service team, uses higher density cushion in their sofa cushions so what you are actually bringing home is not a true representation of what you sat on in store. My cushions are still sagging and apparently they will not replace the cushion with the higher density foam until after a year has passed and my warranty kicks in. Absolutely disgusting company. Then they leave a blanket reply on here saying they look forward to a resolution but when you call customer service they don’t resolve anything or let you speak with a manager or supervisor about your ongoing concerns.
Amazing furniture and service. Derek was very helpful and supportive in getting my furniture finalized. Rest of the furniture arrived today. And its amazing. No doubt. Thanks Ashley. The person who came to drop the furniture damaged one of my chairs while screwing it. Really sad about that.
