There’s a separate coffee shop and a cafe. Both were very busy and there isn’t a lot of seating available. The coffee shop drinks were ok. They had really cute sugar cookies, but for $6, I was hoping they would be fresh. It was dry like a crouton. The cafe menu had a few healthy options, which is good to see. The veggie panini was ok and I really enjoyed the side salad. Poutine and soup were good. Prices are a bit high for what they offer. But it’s a good enough place to visit while at the Aquarium.
Pretty big portion sizes only order the large poutine if youre really hungry. The food is decent tasting. The staff are very friendly.I would come here again for sure.
Food is good enough for the cafeteria and considering it's at an aquarium. Slurpy is really good but very surprising... A straw won't be provided for the environment. However a plastic spoon is given. I agree with the conservative nature approach but that's why there are paper straws, in Australia at least and wooden spoons utensils. Instead all the utensils are still plastic... Even the take away cups are non recyclable. Further the wait was extremely long with lost orders, broken cups provided to patrons etc.
Surprisingly really well done fish and chips here, or in my case, fish and salad with a side of fries. It's better than some actual fish and chips shops. Encased in batter the form of a giant pill, is a decent size slab of cod which is moist, and flavourful. The batter light and crisp, and surprisingly well done. I rank the fish and chips here better than both Pajo's and Dave's Fish and Chips in Steveston, maybe even on par with Sockeye City Grill. Definitely miles better than Celine's Fish and Chips on Granville Island, but maybe not quite as satisfying as Moby Dickns in Whiterock. Kid friendly, lots of highchairs and boosters, members get 20% off. Also nice patio/courtyard seating but can get really hot outdoors in the summer.
A delicious hot Pretzel is a super tasty and cozy snack on a rainy gloomy day and is the perfect compliment to a trip to the aquarium. They also offer a lot of plant-based baked goods which look super yummy but I was more in the mood for something warm. Unfortunately I hate mayonnaise but the earthy Mustard taste of the dip is perfect on point. Great to enjoy whilst watching the Sea lions chilling! Support our local communities, precious marine life and beautiful planet!
Was a bit put off by the long lines but we were served super fast... great service and piping hot food with only a 5 min wait... lots of seating Can see why it's so popular... amazing food!Food: 5/5
Delicious burger and you can even find beer! After 2 long hours of aquarium visit, that's the place to breathe, eat and run away from children noises.
Learn so many things from here , kids loved here too , will always come back for sure, specially 4D movie , so much fun
I paid $17 and change for chicken strips and fries for my daughter. They were over priced and not good. The breading fell off and she said they tasted bad. I could go to a restaurant and get cheaper chicken strips that tasted better. Everything is over priced. They don't have straws or lids for any drinks which I thought was weird especially when a lot of the customers are little kids. Next time I will go somewhere else. Definitely don't recommend!!
Love the staff efficiency, young people who work like dogs to get hundred s of visitors fed. The food is good but expect tourist trap pricing! PLUS, the aquarium is now private so you are no longer supporting a community facility, chain owned.
