Café Portrait

Went here for breakfast on a Sunday morning. We arrived around 9:30 AM and were able to snag a seat in the small dining room before the rush came around 10 AM. They have Turkish coffee which is not very common, so I ordered one and it was great. The food was delicious and the portions were quite generous. There were unique art pieces everywhere, which created a bohemian vibe. The location on Denman near English Bay was very convenient! The service we had was exceptional, no complaints at all.

A cozy little cafe amongst many other cafes/restaurants on Denman street. This place has a very artistic vibe with many frames and art pieces around. We ordered avocado toast, Turkish coffee and a hot chocolate. We loved all the order, except the hot chocolate wasn’t that great. Will definitely visit again!

If you're wondering where to go for brunch definitely stop here! Café Portrait is such a cute spot! The service is phenomenal, the drinks are tasty and the food is absolutely delicious! You will not be disappointed here. There is limited seating inside so make sure to arrive early or plan to wait for a little as they do fill up fast. They have seating outdoors as well :

Everything about Café Portrait is magical. From the beautifully artistic and unique almost quirky decor ... to the ever so quaint and cozy atmosphere ... to the friendly owner and attentive staff. And yes ... they have great coffee. Just go. This place is a real gem.

We went there around 11 am Saturday, waited for 15 mins. The owner also waiter is very friendly, food is beyond delicious: the presenting, the temperature of food, sauce… so good. We also ordered the waffle, light and sweet, perfect for a desert to share. Coffee !!! I thought it would be too bitter for me I usually drink latte , but I love the sweet soft candy with coffee combination. Not bitter at all. Like everybody mentioned, deco is amazing. I appreciate good food, good vibe, good service. 10 out of 10. Will recommended to any friends who visit Vancouver!!!

I went to Cafe Portrait on a Sunday at 1:30pm and waited about 25 minutes in line, so not too bad. The cafe has a really great atmosphere, of course with the paintings on the walls everywhere, and the tables have portraits too. The service was amazing, everyone was super polite to us, even calling us by our name many times, showing they really care about the customers. The food is really good too, the salad that comes with the Benedicts is so yummy, and the drinks are good too I had hot chocolate I have nothing bad to say about this place, the price of food+drink was about $25 for each person. The dishes are around $17-$20 dollars each, a reasonable price for the great experience at the cafe. Even the bathroom is so cute! With paintings, a beautiful sink, I loved it. They also have a little shop inside, where you can buy merch of the cafe, like mugs, hats and shirts.

One of the few well thought through and executed Café concepts in Vancouver! The décor, art and whole vibe is on point! We came for brunch and thought that the food and drinks were okay, but nothing special. Maybe even a little pricey for the size of the portions… A surprise and winner of the meal was the raspberry brioche praline.

Definitely definitely definitely recommended. We were in the area and looking for an amazing coffee place and found this. If you have an artistic bent, you'll probably appreciate the place more. Loved the setup. We tried Turkish Coffee and Cappuccino. Loved it. They also have some vegan treats like the Almond Blueberry Cruffin, so that's always great! And the ambiance is really good as well. The owner is very welcoming and engaging, especially with respect to the history of the place. It's also a treat to see the process of Turkish coffee. It's a very small cafe but still a good amount of seating available. Definitely recommended. It's on a busy street so parking may not be easily available if you are driving down. Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options Dietary restrictions: They have non-dairy milk and vegan dessert options.

Hidden spot on Denman! This place has such a lovely atmosphere. This place is way too cute to study at so I recommend just enjoying the vibes while eating some good food with good company. We got the Shakshouka 3 eggs, almond croissant, cappuccino and Turkish coffee $41 tip included. I have absolutely no complaints about the food everything was super delicious and the Turkish coffee came withTurkish delight. The staff were very attentive, helpful and overall super nice.
