I really love this place. It’s a great spot in a fun part of town that has amazing gluten free and dairy free as well as vegan options for breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner. The food is always on point and the staff is always great. Highly recommend the protein pancakes if you are ready for something sweet!! They are surprisingly sweet or any of the salads and toasts on sweet potato if GF!!
Turf is definitely my comfort go-to spot for breakfast, lunch and dessert. The staffs are super friendly, and the environment is great. I love spending hours here to have delicious food while reading books quietly. Reminder: this is a cafe without wifi Since I’m a frequent customer, I basically tried everything on the menu as well as the bakery selection. The new menu is well-developed and have lots of exciting options including the protein pancake and shakshuka. The protein pancake is super fluffy with crispy touches from the granola. The sour lemon ricotta “cheese” and berry jam provide interesting balance to the dish. I was sad to know that turf no longer held my favourite French toast, but this pancake is a game changer. Shakshuka is also recommended. The soft, bouncy tofu inside makes it super interesting. The “toasts” are things I will highly recommend. I have tried the mushroom + ricotta and edamame + kimchi. Never thought that roasted yam could make good match in replacement of regular toasts, but those toasts opened my eyes. For every toast dish, there is combination of different textures and flavours. Love their attempts to put edamame hummus with kimchi, and it has become my new favourite. The veganand gluten free bakery is what initially drew me to this place. Haven’t been exposed to vegan bakery before, so I was interested to try things different. I love their gluten free muffins. Those have slightly bouncy texture, and unlikely to the moist aka oily muffins that I have from other regular bakery. I also enjoy the fact that the muffins aren’t too sweet. The everyday cookies are also great. Though I’m team crispy cookies, the everyday cookies are the soft cookies that I love. I also love the granola bowl. The crunchy house made granola is topped with coconut yogurt, almond butter, chia pudding, berry compote, and fresh fruit.
The food was good and the staff was nice, but the music from the next class was loud, my coffee was more like a small latte and I feel the food was a bit overprice. I also saw one of the cooks playing with his cell phone with his gloves. I recommend if you want to buy small dishes already made, but not for the restaurant. For those who want to study/work, there is no wifi.
So amazing ! Really grateful for clean eats such as the TurF. What a wonderful spot. Can’t wait to come back for more ! I got the protein pancakes & a hot steamy mushroom drink. 10/10 ! Highly recommend!
Enjoyed sitting on the patio here, great spot! Tried their salted cashew and date bar which was pretty good; fell apart a bit but overall yummy! And had a chai latte which was small but yummy too! Overall, would recommend, especially for vegan treats!Food: 4/5
MY FAV KITS SPOT! Kits vibes through and through! The food is insanely DELICIOUS and all of the drinks make my mouth happy. Highly recommend! + great patio + great workout & yoga classes TurF is a vibe.
Great place for healthy meals. The rainbow salad was unique and fresh. The flat white was also pretty good.
One of my favorite cafe in Vancouver, it’s not for coffee but I love the atmosphere, it’s nice that they also have fitness studio.
Very cool place. Mostly vegan food with some choice animal proteins. The menu has a nice variety of the usual plant-based brunch fare along with some more unexpected items. The salad, dessert, and drink my friend and I tried were packed with flavour - the salad had possibly the best tempeh I've ever had. The staff is really friendly and works hard to create a welcoming environment. Prices are a little high what you'd expect for this kind of place but not wallet-breaking for every now and then. I just checked out the cafe but they have an attached fitness studio and activewear/merch shop.
Where the cool kids hang out :D maybe too cool! the coffee is pretty good. The salads are a bit too pricey
