Terrible customer service. Don't recommend getting any work done from here. I dropped a 2600 dollar watch off to have a simple pin put in. I said I don't want a estimate just fix it. I was told 5 business days. I called 5 days later to see if it was ready. I was told your estimate is 35 dollars. It's another 7 days to fix. I said I need my watch back. Was told not fixed on site. The person said I will get it expedited it will be ready in 2 days. Today I called no watch. Was told they would trace and call me back within the hour. Three hours later called back, the girl said I will call you back in 10 mins....no return call. Horrible service. They don't even do there own repairs. FOR YOUR OWN GOOD, GO ELSEWHERE......VERY FRUSTRATING.

I have to say that I've been disappointed by the customer service at this location on two separate occasions now and I will not be returning. This last time, it took over 2 weeks just to get an estimate and I had to hassle them repeatedly over 4 of those days (while at home with a newborn). They finally got back to me with an estimate after I was ready to go elsewhere and they told me it would be a quick job. 2 more weeks went by and I still heard nothing. I called multiple times a day, each time being told someone would give me a call back (and that almost never being followed through) to try to find out when it would be ready. Everyone kept saying they had to check with someone else and no one was giving me answers. My husband called and had to be quite forceful with them AND he had to call the location where the goldsmith works himself to be able to get any answers. No real apologies, no compensation for the delays... nothing. It was not easy constantly having to initiate the followups and check ins while dealing with a newborn and toddler at home and no one should have to be on people to do their job. To top it off, the engraving I had done looks awful. I can't even make out the name despite knowing what it SHOULD say. I had a similar experience of taking forever to get any info or work done when I had my wedding rings sized by this location. I should have went with my gut and not given them a second chance. They most definitely will not be getting a third chance. Absolutely no communication or follow up by this location; only a bunch of passing the buck and "We'll look into it and call you back" but not actually call you back. Very disappointed with this store which is too bad because I love Applet's as a company.

Bought my fiance her engagement ring here. The staff (Michelle) treated me like i was buying a million dollar ring. It felt like my money was being properly spent, and i never felt pressured to buy anything beyond what my budget allowed. Extremely professional with just the right amount of class!

My only for to place for jewelery. They have a great selection, wonderful and helpful staff. They also do custom design. One thing that sets them apart is they will replace watch batteries for free, even if you didn't buy the watch from them. Their diamond gaurantee can't be beat.

I have shopped at Appelt's for years, and every time have received great customer service; from choosing Pandora charms, to purchasing gifts or getting my watch batteries changed. It is always nice to support a local business in Winnipeg as well!
