The food here tastes as good as it looks, and thats saying a lot since its among the most aesthetic restaurant food I have ever ordered. As seen in the pictures the lattes are insanely beautiful and im inspired to try this for myself. The pistachio latte in particular was delicious!nnFor the food, the smoked salmon poached eggs are my favorite poached eggs ive had, probably because I think the avocado béarnaise sauce is such a great idea. The flowers to garnish were so pretty. The truffle fries were so good and huge, as was the shakshuka. The pictures of the yuzu french toast speak for itself, seriously an impressive presentation.nnThe pistachio cheesecake was a lovely dessert with an inventive touch of balsamic flavor.nnOur waitress was very helpful—whether you are a tiktok influencer or not you wont be disappointed at Antipode.
As someone who considers themselves a brunch expert, I feel comfortable giving a precise review of Antipode.nnThe food is good, with an interesting complexity of flavors. Their house hollandaise sauce is unlike anything I’ve had elsewhere — more aromatic and distinctive even though some of my friends didn’t love its appearance. The service is excellent, and the décor feels very authentic.nnSo what’s the issue? The price. It stands out compared to other brunch spots offering similar quality. It feels even less accessible when you consider that the eggs Benedict do not come with potatoes or salad — you only get the eggs Benedict themselves, which is uncommon compared to most places.nnBecause of that, the value for money isn’t great. On the day I went, the wait wasn’t too bad — just a small group ahead of us.nnI wouldn’t go back, but I do recommend going once to try it.
We enjoyed brunch here overall. The pain doré yuzu was really good, the sweetness from the bread was balanced out nicely by the sourness from the dipping, but it’s too sweet to finish on its own. I loved the merguez though, especially when you mix everything together with the yogurt base, sauces, and poached eggs.nMy only real complaints: the coffee tasted more like syrup and milk with a bit coffee flavor than actual latte.. and the tip options start at 17%… just something to keep in mind.
The dishes are Instagram-ready, beautifully plated and very appealing visually. Unfortunately, the flavors didn’t quite match the presentation. The mushroom and truffle Benedict was overly salty, and the Choco Bounty latte was far too sweet. The tiramisu latte was decent, though the flavor could have been a bit more pronounced. Overall, it felt like the focus was more on aesthetics than on the quality of the food itself.nnService was also quite slow, especially considering there weren’t many customers when we arrived. It makes me wonder how long the wait might be during peak hours.nnOne thing to note: 17% + tips is added by default.
I absolutely loved it here. It is located in the cutest neighborhood that has a vintage feel. The restaurant itself has a beautiful esthetic. There was a small line up when we arrived, but the greeted us promptly and we only had to wait about 15 minutes for a table. We had 6 adults and 2 babies and they still went above and beyond to make us comfy. I really appreciated the kind and friendly service. The food and beverages were also amazing with gorgeous presentation. I highly recommend this spot for a brunch day
