Restaurant Hélicoptère

Great experience and exquisite dishes! My BF and I got the set menu with was 75$ each and included 8 small courses. Every dish was fantastic and I got to experience combination of flavours I’ve never tried before. My favourites dishes were the mushrooms and the buckwheat ice cream. The only downside is that I wish for the main course they served us each a small plate of the beef instead of having to share since the portion was quite small. Overall, great experience and would come back again!

Ordered everything from the menu. I personally loved the foie gras mousse and the pork special of the day? the most. My only complain is really personal, l'éclairage est trop sombre, I prefer being able to see my food clearly.nnGreat food, great service, lives up to the hype.

Based on reviews and blog recommendations we were excited to try this restaurant. This also wasn’t our first experience in having set tasting menus in Montreal all of which have been outstanding. However the experience we had at Helicoptere can only be described as underwhelming. The most confusing part was how some parts of the tasting menu courses ended up being “sharing plates” between everyone at the table. Looking around everyone got the same portions regardless of the number of people at the table. It appears going a la carte and trying out more options from there seems more value for money.nnIn terms of the food we ate, nothing was outstanding. The desserts was the biggest let down. They tried to put a spin on French Rum Baba cake. It just looked and tasted like dry sponge cake. They poured a syrup which didn’t have any liquor taste as it was indicated on the menu.nnIn terms of the service a few servers appeared friendly but we were reminded multiple times about how we only had a table for the 2 hour limit. The experience felt rushed and was a disappointment. We were coming to the restaurant from another part of the city and trek to the restaurant is not worth it. Do your own research to scour other restaurants offering similar price points and food.

I came here a couple of years ago and I still remember how amazing my experience was here. All the food was amazing and I love the vibe of this place!! Food looks simple but the flavours and how they combine with each other.. A definite must try!! Can't wait to go back again one day.

Went here with high expectations and the restaurant mostly delivered. Enthusiasm and knowledge staff was outstanding. We went with tasting menu and couple dishes weren't my favorite but rest were outstanding and memorable
