Anchor Bar

Had an AWESOME lunch today @ Anchor Bar on Dixon. If you’ve ever been to Anchor Bar in Buffalo, this place won’t let you down as it is WAY cleaner, and the quality of the wings here is phenomenal. Nice big wing that were very lightly dusted but cooked perfectly. That traditional Anchor Bar Buffalo sauce was spot on and don’t turn down the opportunity to try the fries! Service was also quick and really friendly! Check this place out for some fantastic wings, you won’t be disappointed!

Not kidding when I say this was the worst service I have ever had. Restaurant was empty and after a completely forgotten about appetizer we still didn't have our mains after an hour and 20 minutes! I told them not to bother to serve us if we had to pay for it so they did comp us the 4 meals. We only paid for drinks. Service was horrible and we weren't checked on and no drinks refilled, etc. I literally had to ask for cutlery twice and I took the ketchup from another unhappy table that was done with it. 3 out of 4 of us ordered poutine which was super salty and made with cheap cheese. Wings were okay, but we ordered medium and they came out as if they were dry rubbed? Asked for extra sauce and was brought 1 tiny container for 3 people to share. Horrible service and mediocre food at best.

Arrived for lunch to a very quiet atmosphere. Not many customers on this Tuesday. Thinking that when we ordered our meals it would be quick. Typical chicken wrap and fries. We waited for our food for over half hour. Very surprising

Anchor Bar in name only. I have been to the original Anchor Bar and they had some of the best wings ever. This place is not it. The wings weren't crispy because they were undercooked! Chicken needs to be cooked through. On top of that they barely put any sauce on them. They charged top dollar and way underdelivered on food quality. I hope the manager reads this review because I won't be coming back. Staff offered good service. Saving grace too little too late.

Went once with friends from work, food was awesome, went back again a few months later.... food was awesome, took friends there to watch the hockey game, food and service was awesome. Going back tonight, I'm sure it'll be awesome.
