Excellent Food and ServicenThe food was exceptional. The fish and chips were perfectly cooked and generously portioned. The service was incredibly efficient; our meal arrived within ten minutes. We were so impressed that we had to take some home.nThe server was very accommodating of my hearing impairment. She spoke clearly and loudly, and used visual cues like thumbs-up to communicate, which was very helpful.nOverall, a fantastic dining experience. The food and service were both top-notch.
We ate at Amsterdam Brewhouse when we were in Toronto recently for a concert. It definitely surpassed our expectations! From the menu, to the service, to the atmosphere, we were impressed. The interior is modern, spacious and very comfortable. We opted for the upper outside deck on a beautiful late afternoon in November. We had views of the harbour, islands and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. Michael, our server, was efficient, personable, competent an helpful in selecting our plates. He definitely assisted with our selections and elevated our experience. We particularly enjoyed the Lager Flight, with perfectly-sized beer samplings and the Spinach and Artichoke Dip which came with veggies, chips and wood-fired bread. SO good! Although Toronto is synonymous with dining options, we will definitely be returning to Amsterdam Brewhouse with family or friends in the future and recommending this restaurant to others!
Brewhouse by the Lake, nestled along the scenic shores of Lake Ontario, offers an experience that blends good food with exceptional service, all against a backdrop that's hard to beat. With years of culinary exploration shaping my tastes, I recently visited this spot, curious to see how it measured up.nnWe started with two flights of beer, one hoppy and the other a selection of lagers. The beers were solid, each showcasing the brewery’s range without any missteps, though none were particularly groundbreaking. Alongside, we enjoyed a few appetizers: the Buffalo Cauliflower, which had a decent kick; the Korean Fried Calamari, pleasantly crispy with a touch of sweetness; and the Brewhouse Guacamole, fresh and well-seasoned, though fairly straightforward.nnFor the mains, the 3 Speed Fish and Chips was a classic done right—crispy batter and flaky fish, just as it should be. The Nashville Hot Crispy Fish brought some heat, though it felt a bit heavy on the spice without much nuance. The Thai Curry, meanwhile, was comforting, with a nice balance of flavors, but it didn't quite reach the heights of more authentic renditions.nnWhere Brewhouse by the Lake truly shines, however, is in its service and atmosphere. The staff were attentive and genuinely warm, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. It’s clear that customer care is a priority here, and it makes all the difference. Coupled with the serene harbor views and a relaxing ambiance, the overall experience was elevated beyond just the food.nnIn sum, while the dishes were competent and enjoyable, it’s the service and setting that really make Brewhouse by the Lake a place worth visiting. It’s a spot where you can unwind and enjoy good company, confident that you’ll be well looked after.
Staff were great and attentive. The pizza was good and the fish although the fries were over salted and the mash potato wasn’t right lumpy and not tasting as if it’s been seasoned or buttery enough couldn’t put out finger on it. The sausages weren’t proper pork sausages you would get elsewhere. Extremely busy environment which had a good atmosphere although the bathrooms were not great the toilet paper was soaking wet as was the floor. I would probably only come here for drinks rather than food.
I had a fantastic experience at the Amsterdam Brewery! The environment was really pleasant, with both indoor and outdoor seating options that added to the charm. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the visit even more enjoyable. The food was great, but the real highlight was their impressive selection of beers. I tried the amber beer and it was excellent. If you're a beer enthusiast or just looking for a great place to relax, this brewery is definitely worth a visit!
