We came in at a quiet time, restaurant was practically empty. We waited 21 minutes for food. We finished the food in 20-30 minutes. We ordered one masala tea and mango lassi. We waited 1 hour and 10 minutes for one cup of masala tea. And another 40 minutes for the mango lassi. This is the most absurd and annoying thing ever. We didn’t take out 3 plus hours to spend waiting in a restaurant. I’d be honest, the food was really good. It was beyond delicious but the wait was absurd and unbelievable. It completely ruined the experience. We don’t blame the only girl working as well, she was running back and forth managing everything. She was very hard working but when you take out time and drive for over one hour to go to a restaurant, waiting for 3 hours is very unpleasing.
I saw a TikTok video of someone recommending this restaurant for Kulcha, so I wanted to try it. Honestly, I was disappointed. Firstly, the vibe of the place is as that of a bar, gloomy/dark with weird disco like lights. You can see this in the pictures. Entire restaurant had food odor which got into our clothes and started to make me nauseous. Service was quick though. We ordered Aloo Tikki, Golgappe and Amritsari Kulcha. Neither of these dishes were commendable. Portions were good and price was okay-ish. This place is probably best for someone who doesn’t care much about the ambiance and satisfying their taste buds. I wouldn’t be coming back here.
Very bad experience. Ordered thru skip. Paid 2.50 per naan. Thats what they sent me. Also the veggie burger was awefull. Buns of burger were really hard,patty was dipped in oil. Never ordering again.
Absolutely delicious. Authentic food. Service was excellent, food was scrumptious, fresh, melt in your mouth goat. I will definitely come back several times. Paran, our waitress was excellent. A must try in Surrey and get the Garlic Naan.
The staff working in this place is really humble,I reckon we called them for like 6 times they weren’t cranky at all We ordered dal makhni, tava sabzi both were delicious and tandoori roti and lachha parantha which were super fresh.In dessert we ordered halwa and gulab jamun.Moreover ambience of this place is nicee.One of the server gave us complimentary jalebi because of a festival which we celebrate on this day in India called dussehra
Food quality was not upto the mark ordered appetizers chicken wasnt that fresh. Chaap doesn’t tasted good. Also got a hair from chaap. Ordered salad the portion was too low got only four price of onionsand 4 green chillies and thats all for sald not worth it.

Usually restaurants are hardly rated 5 stars by reviewers because there's one thing or another that's missing. However Ambar Surrey deserves 5stars for the experience they offer. Food and authentic taste is one thing, but I haven't seen such polite service anywhere! Food was amazing. We tried Chicken Kali Mirch Tikka flavorful and mildly spicy, rich and creamy, Achari Soya Champ medium spicy, felt achari, could have been less creamy , Daal Makhni Thick, fresh and perfectly spiced, Malai Kofta Mildly spicy and mildly sweet, gourmet, thick gravy, smooth yet chunky gravy, soft koftas with good amount of dry fruits and not at all starchy. Garlic Naan, Tandoori Roti and Butter naan were super fluffy, light, and tasted awesome. Planning to visit more often especially on Fridays when they have live singing by the awesome Karanveer. Love the place. P.S. I have returned from the parking lot of this restaurant twice earlier because it is dark and gives a feel that restaurant would be empty but the inside is always full of fun! My suggestion to management is to add some lighting outside the restaurant to brighten up.
Today I ate special lunch thali..Food was really awesome specially Amritsari aloo Kulcha, shahi paneer, naan.
I’m from Edmonton and this one is the finest place I have ever eaten in Surrey The setup is great, seating area is very comfortable and the staff is super friendly. The food was over the satisfactory level . I'll say for the quality super loved everything. Everyone have to visit this place once. Fully recommended. Thanks Amber Surrey for making my evening great.
