Alliston Bed & Breakfast

We have stayed at many different B&B's around Canada, and the Alliston B&B rates near the top. Our room was beautiful, the amenities were excellent and the hospitality of our hosts very warm and friendly. We had a great sleep and a wonderful breakfast. Would definitely stay there again.

I'm not usually one to get upset but my stomach turns thinking about how we were treated this past weekend by Alliston B&B. We booked the whole b&b a year ago for me and my bridesmaids to stay at and for my and the groom the next night. At the time they had two rooms available and were renovating a third. We asked if we could also have the third room if it would be ready. Owners sounded thrilled and accommodating also sounding excited that our baby would be joining in the stay. This made us excited. 8 months later we called to confirm all 3 rooms as we were informed it was ready. 2 months before the wedding when meeting with the venue we drove to alliston b&b to have a look as it was beautiful and I was excited. No one answered the door or phones. We left a messages. Our messages were returned, again owners sounding thrilled and we did a final confirmation and I sent all the info to my bridesmaids. Friday before the wedding we had set up time at the venue and rehearsal dinner. I bragged about going back to the b&b and was excited to get ready and have photos taken there. Which we were told was ok by the owners. I called to say we were on our way over. When we got there (7 ladies and 2 babies) they had given away one of the rooms. Leaving one small room and a large room. The owners kept saying we never confirmed (which I know for a fact we did cause I had called and my step mom had called). Exhausted I wanted to make it work trying to figure out a plan. My girls were amazing and said we will gladly sleep on the floor. Katherine the owner was remorseful and willing to figure out a plan then her husband came over. He immediately said "no your not squishing in any rooms" and accused us again of not confirming. My one bridemaid said well what should we do, sleep in our cars? And he said well your not staying here. I began to say something and he cut us off to say "can you keep it down we do have guests here!". The only person who was loud was him as I was holding my sleeping son and the other baby was also sleeping. I also mentioned we had photographers and hair and makeup coming in the morning and he said "no, not here their not." I began to cry as we were exhausted, had no where to go, and the man was being very rude and unaccommodating for their mistake. We all went to our cars to figure out a plan as staying there was not an option. My one bridemaid stayed inside with the sleeping babies and she had already set up the playpen in the room before I got there where her son was asleep. She told me when we had left the man began to scold Katherine for the error and she felt bad for the way he was talking to her. We luckily found another b&b that gladly wanted to accommodate us in every way. 6 of us left with my son to the other b&b but one bridemaid had to stay in the small room at alliston b&b because her son was asleep and she had set everything up for him and it would have been to difficult to move him. Katherine was remorseful, apologized for the error, and did not charge my bridemaid to stay. Katherine did text me the next day apologizing again. But what's done is done and there was so reason for the rudeness and unwillingness to find a way to accommodate us. A huge disappointment. I changed my review from a 1 star to a 3 star because Catherine did contact me trying to figure out what went wrong and is attempting to change policies for the future. She also offered us a free stay to make up for the error. I appreciate the efforts.

My girlfriend and I had an amazing experience. Catherine and Tom were outstanding hosts. Thank you for a great memory!

Our stay at Alliston B & B was absolutely perfect. The Garden view room is exactly as shown - beautiful room, bathroom, kitchenette, and the little extras were fantastic. Breakfast in our room was also amazing. We felt we had our own little private get away. We would definitely stay there again !

Amazing. The suite is so cute. Heated floors, bathrobes, slippers. So warm and inviting
