Albany House

Albany House is a treasure...from the warm inviting front porch to the tippy- top guest rooms and living space on the third floor ( Eagle's Nest), every detail was lovely. The common areas are beautifully decorated, and the grounds gorgeously landscaped. Located on a quiet tree-lined street, it provides a wonderful respite from everyday life. We were served an amazing breakfast in the morning with each dish delicious, and perfectly presented. With a short drive from Madison (45 minutes), you can bet we'll be back!

Have stayed here many a time over the years. Seriously one of the best B&B's ever! The decor and comfort of the place is only surpassed by Margie and Ken's graciousness and great cooking. The breakfasts are decadent and delicious. Nicely located for exploring the new Glarus area.

We spent one of our most relaxing evenings in recent memory at the Albany House. This is a very well thought out B&B. Everything you needed was there where you needed it: a footstool, a throw blanket, a fire all ready to light. We were the only guests as we travel during non-peak times, and we enjoyed spending the evening reading, listening to music and talking together in the living room. The owners melted away, coming if we rang, but otherwise letting us enjoy our evening. The breakfast was wonderful as well: poached pears with raspberries, roasted asparagus, egg blossoms, and glazed pepper bacon. Margie sat down to visit after we ate, and we enjoyed another hour talking with her before we left. Highly recommend this B&B. I know that we look forward to coming back.
