A bit disappointed…I was hoping for tableside guacamole prep but it is COVID and the 1st time I’ve been to Adobe in years, so maybe it’s no longer a thing. I still hope they have the preparation. The food is overpriced,. The menu is commercial Mexican fare but very limited. The restaurants in my neighborhood are Belmont Cragin definitely more authentic and less expensive. The day I visited was Cinco de Mayo. I called before driving 20 mins across town to get there and placed my name on the list. Upon arrival, I’m told it would be an hour wait. Party of 4, they somehow tried to play as a party of 2 when the host, originally confirmed a party of 4! All of al the sudden, a table for 4 appeared. Their confusion but it was clearly noticed and committed to memory. The waiter was ok but rushed. I was disappointed the menu doesn’t reflect steak tacos, which a staple for every Mexican restaurant. Yet, I had steak quesadillas. Make it make sense! I probably won’t return unfortunately.
One of my favorite places to sit, chat, n have margarita or mojito with some Guacamole n chips I really do miss them prepping the Guac table-side but I fired there is COVID still out here. I did however did see the guac station by the bar area therefore I knew they still made it the old way. My friend and I had a blast with the server, enjoyed our food and drinks and we both walked out a little tipsy
The food and service were great. This place is a little pricier. We had two cocktails, guacamole, a chile relleno and the asada plate. Our bill was over $100.
A pleasant meal that was authentic without being pretentious. The guacamole was freshly prepared and just the right level of chill to quench our initial hunger. The margaritas were gently shaken to give a tinge of effervescence. The entrees were expertly seasoned - not overly spicy yet flavorful and tasty. The service was warm, friendly and attentive to our whims. An all-around great meal for all.
The tres leches cake was an Interesting version. The al pastor tacos were delicious.
This is an excellent option in Chicago for fine dining authentic Mexican food. The service is always phenomenal and there are so many good options on the menu. All of the food we ordered was not and fresh with excellent presentation and culinary creativity. Can’t wait to come back!
Great experience!! We had amazing food with an even better server! Miguel was AWESOME! We came in for a drink and app before a show at second city. Our server Miguel turned that into an experience. We ended up getting a couple drinks, a shot, an app, split an entree and a desert...And still made it to our show on time. Everything came out quickly and was soooo tasty. The staff showed they all supported each other like a big family too which is nice to see. The tres leches is a MUST dessert if you stop in and make sure to ask for Miguel!!
Highly recommended. One of the best dinners I’ve had in a very long time. We saw it online while visiting the city and so glad we chose this place. Service was wonderful. The dishes were perfect, the soup was so flavorful and the desserts were perfection!!!
Absolutely delish! Fun atmosphere and wonderful waitstaff! The food though was the star of the show! Went with a party of 7 and we all loved every bite of what we had all ordered!
Props to the staff!! They were running around all night!! I hope other people were patient and understanding cuz this place was BUSY. Our server was awesome and our food was excellent. Just wanted to shoutout to our server it seemed like he was everywhere at once. Wish I caught his name...
