This is THE best place! Perfect for all levels of activeness! Each room has at least 5 different games and then harder levels within those games. Literally an option for anyone. We will definitely be back, 75 minutes goes by way too quickly and it didn’t even feel like I way working out, just playing games
Went with my two friends and my two kids. It was a fun workout. Lockers were free and spacious. If you didn't sign waiver for kids ahead of time. Sign them in using one iPad instead of having them copy what you're doing. One iPad took a screenshot by mistake which made machine unusable, while the other one didn't get to the waiver part. Had to start all three of ours from start. Good thing we were 15 mins early. Helpful staff and clean considering all the touching and activity going on.
If I had the experience we had the last time we went to this location as a first experience I would never go back.nnTo prefix this my friends and I go to activate 2 times a week, are in division 1 in the league for the south side and generally have nothing but good things to say about activate short of some room maintenance struggles. We love activate.nnWe decided to come to the west to help some newer players who were struggling with some levels. Upon arriving we were told our discount that we get as a frequent player doesn’t apply at other locations from our main it has never been this way and that would be absolutely terrible marketing. We shrugged this off because it was a couple of bucks and was a small issue.nnWhile playing we had multiple room failures, button issues in hide, screen issues in Strike, gun issues in lasers. We are use to this so muscled through what we could. While in strike the music was so loud we couldn’t yell over it to talk to each other while standing 5 feet apart. I went to the front desk to let them know: one the screen was having issues and asking if they could turn down the music in that room, during my interaction with the manager, she didn’t make eye contact with me, was staring at her co worker while I talked with a smirk on her face like she was annoyed I was bringing this to her. She said they can’t turn down the music in the room and we then noticed the music for the general area had gone up, so not only didn’t try to help but spited us and did something to agitate us.nnThe quality control at this location is absolutely ridiculous and it is managed so poorly compared to the south location. I have maintained number 1 position at the location for half a year even though I have maybe gone twice this year, because regulars actively avoid this location due to frustrations with being belittled by arrogant staff telling us we’re using the room wrong or pushing a button wrong despite us playing these games multiple times per week. Overall room upkeep is terrible and a general lack of care for customer satisfaction.
I think going to activate was a great experience especially since it was a way to celebrate my birthday however I was kind of disappointed in both the laser hoops and tile rooms.nnThe hoops room had broken nets which made it hard for the trivia game mode since it was me and my groups favourite to get the answer right since sometimes it wouldn’t scan. Plus the balls were a bit deflated but that didn’t affect anything.nnThe laser room especially the one where you have to maneuver and crawl through the lasers was really fun however the ground was pretty rough and scraped my knees when crawling.nnThe tile room were really fun thought the tiles were just a bit dirty, dirty enough that it was noticeable, but not too dirty that it affected the game.nnBesides that I genuinely had the funnest time at activate and would come back as long as the fix the basketball nets lol
My boyfriend and I had an amazing time at Activate! There were so many fun games, and the environment was incredibly welcoming and friendly. We especially appreciated Sara’s helpfulness and kindness.
