The REMAX River City Staff came to Activate for a fun, interactive staff outing and had such a fun time playing all the games and getting active! We were lucky to go when it wasn't too busy so we didn't have to wait to play; plus could keep levelling up in games we enjoyed! We highly recommend Activate for other staff groups to go try out!
Okay. This place was an absolute blast. We used to go to Rec Room for a family fun activity but this is so much better. We all play the games together and as a team so we feel like we are spending time as a family and not just at an establishment. Highly recommend!
Really enjoy it, good value with a caveat. Lots of variety and you definitely work up a sweat. The badges/achievements add fun goals to strive for beyond simply passing levels. Not sure how well if at all the games scale for your group size. Certain games seem pretty impossible with only 2 or 3 people.nnThe caveat: We've gone on a few different days of the week and at various times. We feel the quality of the experience degrades quickly at busy times, hurting the value. The full capacity seems too full, to the point you spend more time waiting for a room than playing, and you rarely get to do more than a single level before getting kicked from the room. And to be clear, your 75 minutes is ticking away while you're waiting for that room, so you're paying to stand around doing nothing.nnDefinitely try to go at slower times.
The business itself was fantastic. Unfortunately, they have a gentleman working there that takes his job way too seriously. He really needed to feel powerful and was on constant patrol for no reason and even told a group of kids that were knocking on a door to stop or they would break the door. It was wild. I would avoid this location because of this kid. He needs some life experience.
This was so much fun! For $25 it is worth every penny. Some of the games were confusing but the mega and laser games were by far the best. Will definitely be coming back here. Only complaint would be that you can only play 1-2 games until the people behind you kick you out, and some games only last 30 seconds. The speakers need to be louder to hear what the game is saying and maybe have some AC in there. The minutes you pay for should count for in game minutes, not actual time. Other than that is was such a blast, I'm amazed at the technology it takes to create these games!nnMake sure to bring running shoes and something you can run in as there's a lot of running, jumping and ducking! Bring a water bottle too as it gets hot and tiring. There is a water fountain if you need. Staff were super friendly and explained how it works. I hope more of these show up around the city
