A&W Canada

Been to this place many times for lunch. Usually the service is average. Today there was a 15 min wait for just 7 cars in the drive thru, they weren't serving onion rings, and I got a flat, warm root beer for a drink when I had ordered coke. It's getting harder to justify paying the A&W price premium with poor service like this. Inside, the space is cramped and cheaply furnished. Instead of spending money on comfy booths, that part of the construction budget went towards a series of video displays that broadcast "made fresh with Canadian ingredients and no antibiotics" marketing propaganda instead of something useful like sports highlights.

New, clean. Good burgers and root beer served in frosted mugs. Was served a burger with one slice of bacon. Staff told me that's how it was supposed to be. Might already be hurting for money and cutting costs. Asked for a receipt and was handed and interact stub instead, which for some reason every fast food place seems to think is the same thing.

Staff was arrogant, unhelpful and unintelligent. Got my order wrong, offered nothing but an ignorant jape and the quality of food was terrible. Low quality all around, even for minimum wage employees.

A bit slow through the drive-thru, asked for extra seasoning on my rings but I guess they forgot within 10 minutes I waited at the drive-thru for my food. Friendly staff, great burger!
