Digby's Restaurant - Kanata

This place used to be a Joey's Only but was bought out years ago. It still serves fish and chips just like Joey's so it keeps me returning. One good thing about this place is it's consistent. Quality always remains the same. Service is friendly if a little spread thin sometimes. It's never super busy but Tuesday is all you can eat so it can be busy then. There's a few non fish options if someone in your party wants something else but the vast majority is seafood. Nothing exceptional but it does beat out most other fish and chips joints in the city.

We phoned for delivery an order of 12 wings, plus an order of their Haddock club sandwich. The wings in their menu looked delicious (see photos). The wings I got were breaded, unlike the ones in the picture. Had it said breaded, I would not have ordered. The club sandwich arrived with fake cheese slices (see picture). The bread was also soggy. First, the description never mentioned cheese (let alone processed cheese food), and besides that, who puts cheese on fish (besides McDonald's)? My wife cannot eat cheese. I will not eat breaded wings. Neither of these were mentioned on the menu. In fact, the picture of the wings is very clear. They are not breaded in the picture. When I called to complain, the manager said that they wings in the picture are "lightly breaded". I disagree. See the picture and decide for yourself. He also stated that cheese on a fish club sandwich is completely normal. To his credit, the manager gave us our money back. But I am still writing this review as a warning to those looking for wings like the ones in the picture, and for those who don't want cheese on a fish sandwich. Hopefully they will update their menu. I think there should be rules about disclosing things in their advertising.

food 100% lovely was amazing food and the service was excellent and they have special on sunday kids eat for free :) and the price for the food it's worth it keep up digbys restaurant

Best all you can eat fish and chips place ever! Love the quality of food and service. The staff is very kind. Definitely recommend it
