We’ve been to 40 westt a few times during lunch and always had great experiences.nThis time, we went for dinner and service was not what was expected of a restaurant of this caliber, leaving a dimmer to the evening after paying a hefty bill.nArrived before the time of our reservation for 2 and were seated right away.nWhile the waiter was polite and cordial, and he came over to check on us, it wasn’t the level of service we had come to expect from this restaurant. Food came and was served by a helper, and the waiter never bothered to come and explain the sauces and sides that came with the seafood platter.nWe had mentioned on arrival when asked that it was for a birthday celebration and while tables all around us were celebrating birthdays, nothing was done for our table. While nothing was expected, the fact that it was asked and overlooked was underwhelming.nFoodwise, we ordered a table d’hôte, which isn3 services and well priced. Also ordered a seafood platter and a soup. The food was great. The seafood although small for the price, was fresh and cooked to perfection.nOverall, a nice evening with a disappointing service. We felt overlooked by the waiter in favour of other patrons.
Absolutely stupendous!! Seafood is the freshest, Alaskan crab was delicious, PEI oysters - yum! Steak - the best one I have ever had. It was Cowboy. Perfect medium rare, perfect char. Hands down it was such a treat!
10/10 no mistake the service the ambiance the food … just beautiful exceptional every time . They don’t do any mistake in there . Service is excellent , everything looks great , the food is consistently presented to perfection .nMaybe over the years nice to add more options to the menue that’s why I gave the 4 stars on food , the palates are 5 for sure.nPerfect place for family special occasions
40 Westt is truly an amazing culinary haven. The delicious food alone is reason enough to visit, but the interior is nothing short of incredible. Despite the crowd, the atmosphere remains serene, making it a perfect escape. The friendly staff adds a warm touch, ensuring a delightful dining experience. Highly recommend this gem for those seeking both exquisite cuisine and a welcoming ambiance.
Calling this a restaurant is an understatement. It is the jewel of West Island, an experience and an iconic brand of its own. We are a party of three, we all loved every moment every bite and every breath in this lovely place. While we were walking out, the receptionist even offered to take us a group picture. Nothing can be better, indeed.
