Absolutely outstanding! This place deserves a 10 star rating. I’m from Toronto and was in town for Mother’s Day visiting family. We had the Mother’s Day prefixed lunch menu and OMG fantastic. From the moment you walk in you’re greeted with smiles. The service was perfection and the food was even better. I’m still dreaming about the chocolate soufflé. Counting down the days u til I go back to Montreal so I can go back to this place. Thank you to all the staff at 40 westt for making such a memorable experience. :
We’ve been to 40 westt a few times during lunch and always had great experiences.nThis time, we went for dinner and service was not what was expected of a restaurant of this caliber, leaving a dimmer to the evening after paying a hefty bill.nArrived before the time of our reservation for 2 and were seated right away.nWhile the waiter was polite and cordial, and he came over to check on us, it wasn’t the level of service we had come to expect from this restaurant. Food came and was served by a helper, and the waiter never bothered to come and explain the sauces and sides that came with the seafood platter.nWe had mentioned on arrival when asked that it was for a birthday celebration and while tables all around us were celebrating birthdays, nothing was done for our table. While nothing was expected, the fact that it was asked and overlooked was underwhelming.nFoodwise, we ordered a table d’hôte, which isn3 services and well priced. Also ordered a seafood platter and a soup. The food was great. The seafood although small for the price, was fresh and cooked to perfection.nOverall, a nice evening with a disappointing service. We felt overlooked by the waiter in favour of other patrons.
This was to die for- a great way to end the trip in Montreal! Seafood was fresh! But the star was definitely the filet mignon - juicy and cooked to perfection! Ariana was also super friendly! Thanks for everything!
10/10 no mistake the service the ambiance the food … just beautiful exceptional every time . They don’t do any mistake in there . Service is excellent , everything looks great , the food is consistently presented to perfection .nMaybe over the years nice to add more options to the menue that’s why I gave the 4 stars on food , the palates are 5 for sure.nPerfect place for family special occasions
One of if not the best steak house in Montreal. Got a perfect charred medium rare rib eye bone in cowboy. Sides and dessert were excellent. Service too.
