Depuis l'ouverture de son premier restaurant en 1984, L'Académie s'est bâtie au fil des ans une personnalité unique. Notre raison d'être est d'offrir une nourriture de qualité à prix raisonnable dans un cadre amical. Parmi les mets les plus appréciés par la clientèle, notons le magret de canard, le carré d'agneau, les généreuses portions de moules frites et plusieurs choix de pâtes fraîches et de types de sauce!

Really upset about the service and the food.. Was a group of 15... And no service for an hour... Waitress was complety rude and made some comments very unprofessional and told us we could not have bread until we order.... The food was very bad and not fresh.... Was like that for the couple times we went.... We are never going back there again..... For that price of meal and was completely not eatable... Don't know what happened to that place but just lost a big deal people that was loyal

I had the steak poutine. It was good. Service was excellent. Prices are reasonable.

A group of 16 went to dinner on news Years to celebrate a birthday. (The reservation was booked weeks in advabce) Adults and teens. It took 1 hr 30 mins for service and meals came 20-45 minutes later. 4 meals were wrong. 2 were gravely wrong as the recipients were given food to which they are allergic. We expressed our dissatisfaction numerous times. We understand busy but there is a limit to patience. The manager offered an apology and free desert. We noted that we would prefer a dscount on the bill and she began to explain how the service was not their fault and the kitchen Made a mistake and we should have asked a waiter and not waited for them to come to us. She also offered a giftcar for a future visit although with 16 of us at the table I don't know who would have used the gift card, perhaps we could have shared it 16 ways??? We asked them.just to apply the credit tonour bulls and she said she could not and continued to explain why this was notvreallybtheir fault. That's when we really got upset since blaming us for their mistakes is quite ridiculous. Anyhow, They ended up comping a few meals but the ordeal took over 3 hrs and we spent most of the time waiting for any type of service or even regret or remorse for the lack thereof. We didnt have desert and didnt get a gc. As a result the birthday was memorable although for the wrong reasons. The manager, although likely trying to do well was not equipped to deal with the situation, taking it personally. We are typically not a tough group but this was insane. We won't be back.

This was my first time at l'Academie. I went with my boyfriend. I had the cannelloni which was amazing! The sauce was so good, the filing amazing and there was a perfect amount of cheese! My boyfriend had the scampi. He also found it very tasty although he would have liked them to be a bit bigger. Then came the decadent selection of deserts. It was hard to choose! So those are the positives! I would have to say the negatives were the very small bread/roll that we each had to start with. I was taken aback at how small it was. The other thing would be that we had to wait quite a while for our food. There were 2 tables (one of four and one of two) that came in and ordered quite a bit after us and they got their food ahead of us. So that was a negative. And finally I'd have to say the noise level was quite loud which made it a little difficult for conversing. Bottom line is yes I'd go again.
