Mckibbin's Irish Pub, named after the McKibbin's from Ireland are 'the' Montreal eating and drinking emporium and offer multiple locations throughout the Montreal area.

A superb pub experience: great fish ‘n’ chips, tasty veggie burgers, sweet potato fries, even a curry poutine! The selection of beers and fine whiskeys is extensive. Live music and a seasonal terrace enhances the fun!

Overall a good experience here. Pros: Service is generally fast and servers are friendly. Most of their beer on tap is fresh, I recommend their McAuslan beers for the best value and freshness. The food selection is varied and interesting, portions are very generous and quality above-average for pub food depending on what you get. Their Belfast wings are some of the best wings I've had in Montreal. The finger food they offer for 5 à 7 is varied and pretty decent. Most places you sit have a decent view of a TV screen to watch the game. Their prices are fair, and considering the portions and above-average quality (for pub food), it's a good value. The facilities are generally very clean for a pub. The bathrooms are generally well maintained; tables, glasses, plates and cutlery are typically well cleaned. Cons: I only wish they'd freshen up the place a bit. It's showing its age. Their live music is great, but sometimes it's obnoxiously loud no matter where you sit. Their reservation policy is inconsistent; sometimes they take reservations, sometimes they won't. Officially, I don't think they do, or maybe not on certain nights. Their decision to stop serving pitchers (even just Moosehead) is unfortunate. While extremely rare, I've had at least one incident where I was very significantly overcharged and initially they insisted that I pay the amount they claimed I owed, but eventually it was settled in a civil and professional manner after discussing it with the staff.

Excellent chicken wings, inexpensive drinks with a good variety and the staff is always warm and polite! Happy vibe at McKibbins always!

Always great service and selection... Try the fish and chips... it's a pretty good one... even by British standards... !!!
