This is really the best Korean restaurant I’ve ever eaten in life!!! However it is hidden gem and not very popular compared to others... the bibimbap was so fantastic, and so was the fried chicken honey garlic is my favourite! and kimchi fried rice. Even dishes that I usually don’t like eating, such as tteobokki, tastes so good here. Everything I tried so far is so great and I wish to come here more often to try more! That being said, my absolute favourite is bibimbap. The owner is also really nice to customers.
Fantastic little authentic Korean restaurant that seems to be underrated by the few clients they seem to have at any given time. Food is always tasty my favorites are the bibimbap and fried dumplings!, portions are good and staff is really friendly and sweet.
There is a few good Korean restaurants in Montreal so to stand you need to be exceptionally good. And this place is exceptionally good and one of the best Korean places in Montreal. If I am not wrong its a mom and son duo and everything is quite authentic. To me a must try places if you like Korean cuisine. Its a hidden gem.
Great authentic korean food. Good bibimbap. Expect a little bit of a wait to get your order as the staff for now is limited to the couple that own the joint. I did not ask, but i suspect they use msg, kinda tasted like it. I will ask next time and update this comment accordingly
What it may lack in decor is more than made up in the quality of the dishes! The food here is *delicious*, and the kitchen is very visible so you can see the love that goes into cooking it. Great little spot. Will definitely have to return to taste more of the menu!
This place is ok. It's not the worst place but it's not the best. The food is good , the one thing I don't like is that the portions are quite small for Korean food considering it's more expensive than most Korean places as well also they don't give kimchi while you're waiting list most Korean restaurants. Id go here if you're in the area or if you're craving Korean food but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here.
I tried bibimbap for the first time here, and I loved it. It's served in a hot skillet, so your meal stays warm until your last bite, and the rice on the bottom gets deliciously crunchy. I also had crispy tofu and it was perfect. Even though the ingredients are very simple, the way they're served makes you want to savour every bite. I wish they had a few more sauce options. The staff is very kind and accomodating to dietary restrictions. The space is unpretentious and casual. The prices are very fair, especially for a restaurant on Notre-Dame. I will definitely come here again.
*Update* They got a new waitress who was very efficient, knew the menu well, and had a quite delightful demeanour! Also they seem to have increased the meat portions on the Bibimbap. Thanks for listening! *Update* I'm going in with a three for now. I know it's their first week and I will come back in a few weeks to update this review. Let me start of by saying that the bibimbap was delicious. The bowl was very hot making a nice crispy rice layer on the bottom. Very fresh vegetables and delicious meat we tried chicken and beef with a raw egg on top waiting to be stirred in. Slap on a little hot sauce and Kim Chi to step it up.. My only qualm was the amount of meat, it's just not enough. If they increased the portions this bowl would be up there with my top choices. There are a few more kinks to work out no Diet Coke or ice, unavailable menu items and the service was a bit awkward, albeit very polite and nice. Front of house needs to get a bettergrasp of the menu and offerings on hand. All in all a good experience. I truly hope they iron out the kinks and get operations up to par with their food.
We really enjoyed it! The flavours and textures were perfect! We crave their food! Wish portions were a tiny bit bigger but overall, so good!! I've gone back 4 more times and I still love it!! Been back 5++ times and am still happy!
I thought the bibimbap was okay - I've attached a picture. I didn't like the fried dumplings in honey garlic sauce - the sauce was for an additional $ and the garlic tasted raw.
