A pocket of wilderness in the middle of suburbia, the 12 mile coulee is an awesome place to ride, run, walk and play. I've been riding there a long time, and locals have been steadily making improvements to the single track trail system over the years. What was once a technical trail with 7 creek crossings now has retaining walls to guard against erosion, and single-track plank bridges. It's a wonderful place to explore wilderness in your backyard! I've ridden it in all four seasons, and it has something to offer dog walkers, hikers, trail runners, cyclists and explorers in every season. If you're riding there, please be mindful and polite to people on foot, it keeps the atmosphere fun! I've included some photos of our fall exploits this year.

Easy trails for walking, running or biking. You quickly forget about the nearby houses and roads as soon as you drop into the coulee. There isn't much down there but if you're looking for some place to walk or ride without going too far this is a good option. You can even follow the coulee all the way to the bottom, which leads to a pedestrian crossing of the river that will take you into Bowness Park. Watch out for dog waste as most people let their dogs run wild in here and don't bother to pick up after them.

Very nice , I went when it was icy and the paths were very slick. If you want the best experience go in fall or summer. The trails are mostly just packed dirt with little or no maintenance so can get muddy or icy in the spring or winter

Highly rewarding trail, great for xc bike riding, but it is multi-use, so remember to respect trail etiquette. It doesn't even feel like you're in the city. Moderately challenging terrain with a gentle slope up into Tuscany. Easily accessible from Tuscany up top, or from Baker Park in combination with the paved bike pathway from the river valley.

Beautiful park, many paths to walk along, if the season isn't super dry then a lovely creek runs through most of it. It's a nice cool area to walk in the evening on hot summer days. A large variety of flowers populate the area. There are connections to underpasses for the highways here so be wary around those.
