Yuk Yuk's Comedy Club

Yuk Yuk's has been around for a long time, and they have always entertained Ottawa with a steady flow of hilarious comedians. I've been to quite a few shows at their old location, and the new location on Elgin is very similar to the old one. It might be slightly larger, but no a whole lot bigger. The bar in the basement of a pub. It's dark and has that old bar hangout feel to it. It's not terribly extravagant, much like the old place on Albert St. But if you are there for a couple drinks and some laughs, they usually deliver. I've never walked out not having been amused by at least a couple good comedians. Go for the laughs. But don't expect to wow a date with the atmosphere and decoration.

Wasn't sure how to feel about this place at first, but figured out pretty quickly that the only reason I didn't like it the first time was because it was a small audience. Been back when the audience was fuller, and it was amazing. Wish they would accept debit at the tables... but the comedians are still worth the only cash or credit. Shout out to Mitch for working around my night shifts when I win tickets. I really appreciate it!

Obviously funny. Cocktails are stupid expensive, so I am rating a four star. Service is great, not really a sense of humour there. Well, they're busy. AC works really well, so the air is fresh 'ish'. Popcorn smells soo good! Great time. Safe to assume that everyone here wants to laugh, so great company!!! #datenight.

This location was kind of scummy. Dirty inside. They don't take debit and I didn't find that out until I went to pay. They don't offer food. Only popcorn. The server interrupted me during the main act to pay her. Which I found quite rude. The headliner was amazing but he also performs at absolute comedy which in my opinion is a much better venue if you love comedy!

Saw Gilbert Gottfried in a very intimate setting. A little warm on a summer night but great atmosphere.
