Party trays from Wai’s BBQ in Chinatown is a carnivore’s dream! You get to choose the meats and cuts you want so you are never stuck with something you aren’t crazy about! I’ve always had great service here and fantastic meat for days Love the char siu and soy chicken! The char siu and duck make fantastic leftovers, taking cold cuts to a whole new level for folks on the run!

Cash only spot. Traditional Chinese style BBQ place. Operated by women butchers not sure who the actual owner is but I found that really neat and not something you see frequently. Food here is clean and wonderfully tasting without the extra greasy or salty tastes. Lunch box specials are one of the best values and deals for $10 - 2 items and it comes with rice and some sauteed cabbage. BBQ pork is nicely sliced not too thick nor thin without much fat, the soy chicken was decent, the duck was delicious and chinese sausage was ok. Does get busy at times but everything is done in a good turnaround time. Highly recommend.

To anybody trying to find this place, it's located inside the Chinese supermarket in the Central Landmark mall. I only ordered the lunch box with crispy pork, they were out of the duck, so I settled for chicken. Food was decent enough, and they take cash only. Everyone here and in the supermarket are very friendly. Will definitely return.

Nice small bbq place, cash only. $12 Lunch bowl when I went. Really liked the duck, soya chicken was pretty meh by the time I got home by bike.

This place is such a hidden gem. I never knew it existed until a friend brought me here 6 years ago, and it was my go-to when I lived in the city. Amazing food & one of the best & affordable prices for authentic Chinese BBQ in Calgary! Try the Char Siu B.B.Q Pork with sticky rice and extra sauce on it! You won't regret it!

Wai's BBQ is hands down the best Chinese BBQ location in the entire city. My family and I regularly come here. The food tastes great and you get a decent amount with the price. Owners are also friendly and funny. They closed their old location back in June and my family was so disappointed but they reopened last weekend at a new location!

Super friendly family-run place that makes Chinese style BBQ meats. They also have a $8 lunch special with 2 kinds of BBQ meats of your choice. Awesome value. Also have these Chinese sticky rice dumplings wrapped in bamboo leaves. Came upon this place purely by accident since the previously posted hours on google map showed them being closed on weekends and close at 5pm. That is not the case, hours are now updated so everyone can find this hidden gem in Chinatown!
