Husband and I decided to share plates and our waitress was totally cool with it, no questions no huffs or puffs just one question about how many extra plates we would like. Super fast seating and service plus it was wonderfully quiet. We got lucky for sure.
We got the food Togo and I’m not sure if they were supposed to give us more bbq sauce to go with it or not but I felt like everything was a little dry. We got the Uptown style came with smoked chicken, pulled pork, brisket, ribs, fritters, and 4 sides. The pulled pork and brisket was the star meat here they had the most flavor with good BBQ taste. The chicken to me was a bit dry, didn’t really taste like it was smoked. The ribs didn’t have much flavor and the meat was kinda tough, I wish it had more sauce on them. The fritters we got looked a little dark maybe overcooked almost burnt. The four sides we got were creamy Mac salad which I really loved had good flavor. Pit smoked beans were good too, but the green beans with bacon tasted like they came out of a can, they were not good. The bacon couldn’t save it. The last side was onion straws. Overall nothing really stood out I just feel like it was ok BBQ.
Omg, great BBQ. You get hungry just walking in the door. Wife has brisket plate and I had Brisket sandwich. Portions are good, Brisket was fantastic. Onion straws on my sandwich were great. Cole Slaw and beans were the 2 sides we had. We really enjoyed our lunch
Food/Taste/Flavor: 3/5 - tri-tip & rib combo with St Luis ribs, extra order of pulled pork, and sides of creole rice and fried okra. The ribs is absolutely amazing and fall off the bone soft with fairly little effort. The tri-tip was a block of protein and a on the tougher side. We did ask for medium rare but it was closer to well done. The pulled pork was not worth the additional cost. The sides were tasty though!nnAmbience: n/a - came 30 minutes before closing so ordered food to gonnService: 5/5 - very friendly and walked us through the combos and all the different options available. Also very patient as we discussed each optionnnValue for price: 4/5 - reasonable price for amount of food we got! Definitely worth when craving it.
Damn good BBQ. I tried the tri-tip lunch, 1/2lb of Tri-tip cooked to your liking. Mine came out perfect, but honestly, the beans stole the show! Try the beans!
