World Tea House

Online orders only with curbside pickup or delivery but these have limited availability. I wanted to place an order on Thursday but they only had pick up options on Saturday and the following Tuesday. Their website is either not updated or most things are out of stock, so I wanted to visit in person but unfortunately the store is closed to the public despite their store hours. No one picks up the phone if you call the number on the door. I hope it opens to the public one day.

EDIT: It took a while to get things done, and finally I got my package and the tea is good! -- Created an order ten days ago, got an email that order confirmed, and then silence. Tried to contact by phone, nobody answered. Have no idea how to return my $100, there is no cancellation, nothing. Is it a real shop?

I Spoke To One Of The Owners A Very Kind Lady She Showed Me Any And Everything I Could Every Want To See She Was Very Thorough In Explaining Things.. I Learned Alot About This Amazing Family Run Business And How They Work With And Have Developmed Relationships With Various Tea Farmers And Pot Makers ect.. How They Source Their Tea and Tea Wears as well.. You Can 100% Fully Trust That Buying Tea or Tea Ware From This Business That Your Expectations Will Be Met.. Absolutely Fantastic People And Business.. They Have Made Me A Lifetime Customer And I Will Always Recommend Them Highly To Everyone..

A really wonderful place. They have a fantastic range of teas and the owners are incredibly knowledgeable and they have a passion for their work.

The best tea store in Ottawa by far and it's not even close. The freshest and most potent tea sold by extremely knowledgeable and inviting couple around. As a loyal customer since 2015 and a tea lover who has scoured Canada looking for exceptional high quality tea. I have yet to find a store physical or online that has rivalled the quality which World of Tea offers.

I just bought a few oolongs and shincha and I am very happy with the quality. When I visited the store, one of the store owners took the time to talk to me and explain a lot of interesting facts about their teas. The free sample tea was a really nice touch as well. Will definitely order again in the future.

I experienced incredibly rude customer service here this occurred before COVID after asking a fairly simple question about their tea. It was so surprising that I still remember it after all this time and have not returned to this business since then. There used to be several similar reviews, but it looks like Google wiped negative reviews from the past for this business though there are still a few that corroborate my experience on other sites.

This store had such a relaxed atmosphere. The owner is very knowledgeable and was great to chat with. Fun fact: he is fluent in English, French, Mandarin and Cantonese! He had a nice collection of teas in tins for you to open and smell. He has set up such a nice environment to learn about teas. Highly recommend for tea newbies and tea experts to pay this store a visit.

They communicated clearly and efficiently about a delivery issue, so hooray for that. Finding a Canadian business that stocks loose tea filters actually made in Canada is pretty great too. I'd order from here again without hesitation.
