Great big beach in Toronto. Free parking Mon-Fri until 5pm. Tons of beach volleyball nets, great facilities, food vendors. Lifeguards on the beach and in the water on row boats. Very shallow which is great for young children. Separate area on the beach to put kayaks and paddle boards in so you don't have to worry about swimmers. Woodbine park is right beside the beach with picnic tables and lots of shade. Only thing is it's a long walk to the lake from the parking lots due to the size of the beach and there is no shade on the beach so come prepared.
Pleasantly surprised by Woodbine beach! I've came here on 2 different occasions. Typically, on weekends the beach is quite jam packed with patrons - for those who are looking for a interesting social setting, it might be a great time to visit then. However, I have revisited the beach during the work week and it is quite peaceful. I was surprised to see the beach so empty and the vibes were excellent. Also to note: there are accesible bathrooms and an assortment of restaurants near the board walk. Definitely check out woodbine beach if your trying to find a quick getaway that is relatively close to the city. Fantastic!
I simply love this place. Beach, nature and some really calm spots for contemplation. The water tends to be cold, but it could be refreshing on a warmer day. Great infrastructure, with washrooms and a changing room available at least in the summer. The whole area is one of my favourite places in Toronto.
Nice beach. it has lifeguard on duty. It was hard to find parking. There seem big parking area but the place was busy. There were event on the weekend. There are food trucks. I really enjoy going to this beach just don't enjoy looking for parking
Woodbine Beach is a beautiful place to spend time year-round. It has a long and wide wooden trail that goes along the water. The beach does get crowded in the summer but, the beach is large enough to accommodate everyone. For those feeling sporty, there are options many options like boating, volleyball, and working out at the outdoor gym. Woodbine Beach is a popular place for photography and jogging. There's a great restaurant on the beach Toronto Beach Club, a Tim Hortons, and an ice cream truck.
An immaculate beach with a great boardwalk, a lovely cafe that serves excellent ice creams, coffee, and a few items to eat; they have a food truck that operates with a decent menu next to the restaurant operating only in summer. The other side of the beach has beautiful, very well-kept parks, the perfect place for a picnic in the summer. The barbecue pits and swings for small children in the gardens make an ideal place for families. Summer are lovely at the Woodbine beaches. A musician plays piano in the garden most of evenings; on a good windy day, you will see many surfers riding the waves and the sky full of kites. A few operators also set water sports like jet ski, kayaking, etc., for the season. If you like beach volleyball, this is the place for you. This beach has countless courts. Just get your stuff with a few friends and spend your day playing here. The beach has a new club too, an expensive but excellent place for some drinks on the beach. In case you want a cheaper options, there are a few not that expensive places too. In a nutshell, it's a great beach. Drop by and enjoy.
Amazing place to enjoy your weekend, especially if you love beach volleyball. They have free courts that you can carry your equipment and spend the whole day out there. Plus, benches and fire pits for BBQ at the park side. It becomes one of my favourite places for every weekends in summer.
Fun public spot to enjoy the last days of summer and soak in the sun. It can get pretty busy at peak hours - with parties and lots of activities. There is a washroom but with a lot of human traffic. The water is clear and there are life guards.
So beautiful beach. It has clean white sand and clear water. Great place to sit, walk and run. Lots of space for volleyball fun. The lifeguard's service is available on the beach watching shallow areas with kids.
Cold and refreshing water and warm sands in July/August! Lots of space, doesn't feel cramped so long as you aren't right on the waterfront on the weekend. Many public volleyball courts as well. There's a few places where you can enter from the boardwalk and wash the sand off of your feet/shoes. Great place for the whole family
