2023 June 4 A free beach that's easily accessible, has decent sand and part of the Martin Goodman Trail. Being on the East side, this part of the beach is less crowded but also is further away from the playground and main facilities of a shower and change station. The sand is pretty much the same as the entire stretch. Though there are larger rocks here that help keep the waves calm.
Always loved coming down to this little gem just east of the more famous Woodbine beach. Beautiful year-round, especially during the summer. Great for enjoying the fresh air and natural beauty of the lake while walking your dog or just having stroll along the boardwalk.
Every time I go here I can’t believe that I’m still in Toronto. I came here the other day for sunrise and it’s so beautiful. Help yourself, bring a towel and sit by the water for a couple hours.
Serene beach with super clean water. It is very calm and not much crowded as other beaches. Best for Sunday picnic with family. They have kid’s playground with great shade from trees, also Kew gardens are quick walk if you need to just sit in the shades! I love how close it is to Queen st where you can have plenty of options to eat and drink and yet very serene and calm away from city sounds! They have public washrooms, easy to spot from google maps.
Nice beach with benches..take a quick dip or some canoeing or boat trips or lay by the sand Playground: Tennis courts Dog-friendliness: Dogs will have a great time here
Very nice Lakeside view! Nice to visit with friends who live in Toronto!
Very clean, when my friends and I had gone the water was cold but that didn’t stop us from enjoying the area. Close to downtown so we could grab a bite to eat with no problem. I will say I wish there were more showers around
Great beach. Has a place to eat and get ice cream Adult drinks as well very clean.
A quieter alternative to woodbine beach. This beach has a blue flag rating meaning the water here is clean. You can enjoy a leisurely stroll on the trail, or cycle along the pathways. Kayak rentals are available and you can try your hand on the stand up paddle. Perfect picnic spot for a Sunday family outing.
I love this beach. It has something for everyone, whether you want to enjoy the sun and the waves or relax in the shade and watch the world go by. This beach offers a variety of spots to suit your mood. On the north side of the boardwalk, you can find many mature trees that create vast areas of shade. They are perfect for keeping you cool and comfortable on a hot day. On the south side of the boardwalk, closer to the water, you can experience the warmth and brightness of the sand. There is plenty of space to spread out and soak up some rays. Even on this side, you can still find some clumps of trees and shrubs near the water’s edge, where you can take a break from the sun and enjoy some privacy. When you get hungry or thirsty, you can choose from a range of options on the boardwalk. There are restaurants and food trucks that serve delicious food and drinks. Sometimes, in the evening, there is live entertainment on the boardwalk, or street performers that showcase their talents. You can join the crowd and have some fun, or just sit back and observe from a distance. This beach is a great place to be during the summer. Whether you want to be seen or unseen, this beach has it all.
