A great little beach on Hanlan's Island with the options for both clothing-optional and clothing-mandatory part of the beaches.. When in Toronto or living here, Hanlan's Point is a must visit place You would have an amazing time here at any given point of the year. However, I'd recommended going there on summers and spring as it's the best time for beach trips!
Beautiful little island with a chill crowd. Loved laying here and bumping tunes with my girl. I would definitely return. The sand was softer and cleaner than a lot of other beaches I've been to around Toronto. Highly recommend this beach to anyone who is LGBTQ friendly and is okay with the nude beach area ;. Loved the water taxi and ferry ride there and back as well. A little bit of a mission..be prepared to walk to the beach area and pack smart. Definitely worth the stunning view of the 6ix from the island though!
One of my favourite spots to watch the sunset. Also my favourite beach in the city. It has a chill vibe, feels like you left Ontario without leaving Toronto. PS. A lot of people avoid this beach thinking it's a nude beach but that's only a small area of the beach. Most of it is actually a clothing mandatory beach and you're completely separate from the nude portion. Take the hanlans point ferry here $8 two way. The last ferry leaves at 11 pm, after that water taxis run but not sure till what time. $12 bucks one way. There is only one snack bar on the beach which closes early.
Warning: this review is for the clothing mandatory area southeast end toward the public bathroom but if you’re there when it’s busy expect to see several or many nude mostly male people walking past along the shoreline. If you’re NOT OK with that you should probably go to one of the many other beaches on the Toronto Islands. Even though it’s not “technically permitted” it happens and there is no one there to really enforce it. Recently the beach has been restored and is absolutely stunning. There is lots of fresh deep sand with sand dunes and a shoreline that is great for swimming. If you plan to visit for the day/afternoon pack refreshments and food because there is nowhere close to buy food or drinks. You can get city drinking water from the bathrooms nearby. There are plenty of garbage and recycling bins everywhere so USE THEM and leave the place so everyone can enjoy
Specific beach where can be free like a bird by creating that merry merry world. Let those thoughts take place, yes pretty much without the Birthday suit Few months till spring but would all pay of.
Absolutely beautiful view of Toronto’s skyline from the beach. I find it most beautiful in summer but there’s something in every season to enjoy. Come here prepared for a nice, relaxing walk. Bring snacks for picnic as there are tons of places to eat and enjoy a picnic.
Clothing optional beach located on the Toronto Island Park. Often busy on weekends, this stretch of beach has wonderful city views and clean sand. Good swimming area. Lots of fun for everyone, from swimming, tanning, throwing around a football or frisbee. Alcohol is not permitted on the beach but as long as you are discreet and behaved it is not severely enforced. Keep in mind that you will see fully nude folks and every once in a while there is some frisky business in the nearby wooded area. Excellent place to watch the air show or fireworks. There is a small seasonal grill just minutes away from the beach entrance where you can get cold beer. Take the frequent ferry service or water taxi over and spend the day.
Nice and clean beach, kind of quiet not so much people or noise, not kids around, few dogs went on Friday probably weekends are more busy. All people very respectful and in the own business maybe +90% nude, is optional to wear clothes. Water was super cold even summer still on. Bathroom's from Mermaid coffee just outside entrance of the beach. Walking distance from Ferry is nice and not long.
Finding the spot on the island was quite a pleasure even though it was quite hard to find given that there wasn't any hard path to follow. While it may be a clothing-optional beach most of the visitors were clothed with only maybe 2% of visitors embracing their birthday suits. I like that there was a lot of space to move around on the speech was very clean and amenable to minimal regulation so you could have a great time.
Always a safe and fun day! Don't let the blogs tell you what the media is told to say! Social distancing is followed. The water is clean and warm m the sand is definitely cleaner than Cherry Beach. Enjoy summer here!
