Love the park. Nice to walk around in the morning. Very cold but still some people walking or photo shooting. The west side of the park is under construction but still walkable. All washroom is closed in the winter. The parking is free in the winter. A lot of ducks, geese, some swans. They all swam to us because they think we have food. Sorry. I think we are not supposed to feed them but I really felt sorry not have food for them. Very windy cannot stay too long in the park.
A great beach spot to have a picture perfect picnic with barbecue. Kids can enjoy playing in sand and water. Parking is paid but not too costly. Ample scenic spots and clean water makes it a must visit spot. Good for quick weekend getaway. Also, the park has a moderate trail for hiking enthusiasts.
2022 June 4.5 A very nice beach with amazing soft sands and fairly clean waters. Backdrop of the bluffs gives this place a great view to enjoy the city. Given the size and how busy this beach is, it's kept quite clean. Kudos to the city staff for keeping it this way. Parking is limited and may only for about 50 or so cars. Another parking lot isn't too far, at only about 7 minutes walk. That parking lot is meant for launching boats, so individual car parking is also capped at about 50 or so. When lots are full, police arrive and manage the traffic. Public washrooms and an outdoor rinse off area are available by the parking roundabout/entrance to the beach. Would recommend. Suggest you get here before 11am on weekends to ensure you secure parking.
Beautiful spot. Water was so clean and calm. Beach is very well kept. Nice to see lifeguards there with the amount of kids. Overall amazing day!
Very nice beach area with parking nearby, and washroom facilities. Lots of areas to picnic and walk. Clean and well kept area.
I love this Beach Park. You can visit with your family and friends and have a great time together.
Amzing amazing loved the beach. It is clean and nice. Highly recommend coming during the day. Water gets colder in the evenings
It's so beautiful, Although is so far from downtown, but you have to make the effort
It was the first time I saw a frozen shore! Jan 8th Icicles hit the shore and made a beautiful chime. I have never been here in summer but the bluffs add to the beauty of your experience for sure.
I wanted to leave this review for anyone who is anxious like me and needs to know info about a place. I visited the beach during the weekend for the first time, I usually go weekdays, and i was really worried about the rush and parking. I got there around 12:50 pm and the parking near the beach had no parking at all. Was lurking around for 15 minutes and had no luck so decided to park at the marina side and walk over to the beach it's a 10 minute walk - wasn't bad at all!. The parking rate at the marina is similar to the beach side parking , but it's shared with boats so make sure you park on the car side and not the boat side. Around 1:30 is when we got to settle down and it wasn't super busy. It got hella busy around 4 pm - 5 pm and after 7 pm the rush slowed down. No cars are allowed in after 7 pm so make sure to get in before that. There are a lot of seagulls and bees here. The seagulls don't bother you unless there is food around you but the bees are super annoying. Great beach to swim and relax. Amazing views. Big area so you can move around too. There is a bus, I think 175, that takes you all the way down to the beach so that's an option as well if you want to get to the beach and not want to deal with parking. I was leaving at 9 pm and still saw it running.
