This place is a nice and clean Chinese restaurant. The owners are very nice. They have some fairly priced lunch specials that come with soup and fruit. Pictured here is the vegetarian option. Has lots of "wok hay" so I think the name is very appropriate. Will come back to try their other set lunches
They're trying their best. Menu is limited and the fact that it's mostly a Hong Kong style cuisine but lacks milk tea even at a cost is a huge detriment. At least the food is fresh and not too costly.
Nice flavors. Cleaner taste or chinese dishes. Good to have a simplified menu too. Beef n brocoi was great. Oxtail flavor was good and nice to have on rice. Beans n minced meat was yum. Portions are a bit on the smaller side tho. But u can tell the cook is solid.
I rarely give 5 stars to restaurants because I find that I can nitpick some items that I do not like at a particular restaurant. This one, however, is an exception. Wok-In Kitchen, although not having too vast of a selection vs. other Chinese restaurants, have in my opinion some of the best tasting asian fusion dishes that I have had. The server and chef are very friendly and the dining area is well maintained and is clean. In terms of quality, here are some that I get often: - Sesame Chicken is perfectly battered not over battered like a typical lemon or General Tao at some other Chinese restaurants, while staying juicy on the inside. I always ask for a side of the sauce, because it compliments the flavors of the chicken tenfold. - Malaysian Beef curry is insanely good. Good amount of beef, tendons i think it's tendons?, and potatoes. The sauce is gravy-like and has a very rich, savoury and slightly sweet hints. I always get this when I make an order. They also have a very affordable lunch menu which I believe is $8.95? which comes with soup, rice and fruits. Other noteworthy dishes that I've tried are: boneless porkchop with basil, chicken with almonds and honey/lemon sauce on the side. The only thing that I could comment is that since the location is very hidden and tucked away, they aren't getting a lot of traffic as much as they'd like to. Also, payments are either cash or debit, so people who wants to pay using a Credit Card would have to opt in to the former. Overall, great hidden gem of Richmond Hill and would definitely recommend!
Best lunch specials for $11. This one is cranberry braised pork ribs with rice
Tawainese Chicken Rice was excellent. It came with two pieces of fruit which is really thoughtful Lunch was not busy but I think that is because of the location hidden away in a small plaza. They should be packed considering the quality of food and service! I will return to try the other lunch items!
Tried this place while driving by and ordered dinner take out. The 3 cup chicken was coated in thick starch, not my cup of tea just looking at it. The sauce and spices were very mild. Ginger was too light tasting. Chicken meat was ok, not too dry. The dish portion was small compared many Chinese restaurants. Ordered the fried fish with soya sauce, it came with 4 pieces and there was one piece that was very fishy and not fresh. The soya sauce was a bit too sweet. It was unfortunate. The price was regular dish prices. Not cheap for the dishes. I won't be returning
I am an regular customer of Wok-In, generally their dishes are just great, and I liked their soup the most, but recently I feel really disappointed of them due to that they are trying to save money by limiting the volume of food they provided. Before COIVD19 it was a 5 star restaurant for me but now it’s just a normal food court that provides low quality and low quantity food. I believe their service is still as good as before but I would never spend 18$ for a dish that put only 6 pieces of meat it was around 10pieces b4. As a summary, I would only recommend you to order their linch specials.
A small family restaurant that sits no more than 50 people at the same time, and serves a small menu, exceptionally clean. They treat their customers very serious, all their dishes were well designed and prepare, surprisingly tasteful, particularly their sesame chicken and curry beef, everyone will get a piece of cantaloupe and watermelon at the end. Price was reasonably too. Highly recommended. Will go back soon.
You will never be disappointed with this place. Excellent food, excellent services and decent prices! It's not a restaurant selling pricey high-ended seafood, but if you want to have a meal in a clean and quiet place different from a typical Chinese restaurant sitting comfortably with friends and family, this is where you should go. Three families, ten of us, just went there to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival last weekend. Among us, two families were the first time visiting this restaurant and they were all amazed!!!
