I love With the Grain. I have been coming to this establishment for years and it was sad to hear they were closing down the cafe section. It is great to know that the bakery across the street is still open as it gives those who love this place a chance to still come and purchase goodies. 
I give this a 4 star only for one reason. 
The wait staff at the bakery, more so in particular one worker should NOT be in customer service. Every time I go into the bakery she is there. There is no smile, no Hello, no nothing... I get it! I work in the service industry as well and dealing with customers and people in general is not easy but if you are going to work in a place that is so loved at least show some sort of friendly behaviour, as employees are the face of an establishment, otherwise rethink your choice of work.

Went for lunch and the food was good. It wasn't all that busy but the staff still had a hard time keeping up. Staff in the restaurant were nice, though. It was confusing to figure out where to pay the bill. They also had menu items that weren't on the printed menu and only on the chalkboard so I didn't even see them until we were waiting to pay the bill. There were only two people ahead of us to pay and it still took quite some time. The atmosphere inside was nice and the music was good. Food was excellent. Went to the bakery as well, selection was pretty slim and not much more than in the restaurant but the quality was very good. The clerk behind the counter wasn't really all that friendly and seemed almost bored. 4 stars for the polite restaurant staff and the food quality though.

So good!!! Desserts are tear worthy. Bread is phenomenal. So many varieties. I like that each day of the week is dedicated to a few varieties of breads.

What a wonderful and fresh place to grab a bite! Each coffee drink is amazing, and the breakfast sausage is incredible. Also they make there own ketchup! Doesn’t get any better than that. Staff is super friendly as well.

This place had wonderful reviews and we were very excited to try it. We even waited in quite a long line. The food was mediocre at best. My eggs were cold, the food was bland, and boring. Serving sizes were fairly small.  
The lemon squares and coffee were delicious and the service was wonderful but I definetly would not return.
