Wind Japanese and Thai

Nice decor inside, good concept. We have a similar style buffet in Central Florida. At Wind, you order on an iPad and they bring out whatever you order, including drinks, apps, sushi, whatever. They also have one of those seating robots. Sushi quality was good for an all you can eat, but not as high quality as a dedicated Japanese sushi restaurant. The tamago, miso soup, and seaweed salad all taste like typical resold Asian store products, not made in house or unique in any way. Rice was warm, but nori not as crispy as hoped. Wasabi is also store bought tube sqeezed, not real ground root wasabi. But my main issue with this place is the limited fish and roll choices. Our local similar restaurant has a more extensive menu and offers all the main choices including yellow tail, escolar, sea bass, snapper, ikura, octopus, squid, shrimp, salmon skin, etc. and many more unique rolls. I was having difficulty finding what I wanted here. They also have tempura and various other dishes, but I was interested in sushi. If you are new to sushi or just want to fill your belly, then this is a good place. If you eat sushi often, you might feel confined here. Our server was super friendly and helpful.

Sooooo goood! Tuan our server was really nice and genuinely cared about our experience. The robots that serve you are a cool thing to experience… they even sing happy birthday! Such good food be careful not to eat to much, cause I’ve never felt this full haha. I would recommend the fired ice cream and fired mars bars! The crab wontons were sooooo good. The k you so much tuan for your amazing service!

Visited Wind for the first time while visiting from Toronto and overall had a pretty good experience. The sashimi was absolutely wonderful, fresh, flavourful, and definitely one of the highlights of the night. The sushi itself tasted good, but a few pieces didn’t really hold their shape and could’ve been prepared a little better. We also unfortunately didn’t receive a couple of our meals as well as our dessert, which was disappointing.nnThat being said, a huge honourable mention to our server John, who truly made the experience better. He was so polite, attentive, and helpful the entire evening with such a warm and welcoming presence. I had lost my earring during dinner and he went above and beyond checking around for it and even suggested leaving my number at the front in case it was found later. He checked on us often, always had a smile on his face, and provided exceptional service throughout the night. Thank you John for turning the night around with your kindness and professionalism!

Been to other AYCE Sushi, this place was great, food was hot and fresh, service was super friendly and made accommodations for a birthday party of 12+ ppl. Had accommodations to bring and serve our own cake which was great, service again was awesome!nnHighly recommend if you’re looking for your next spot!
