Zapata Mexican Restaurant

This place has delicious American style Mexican cuisine. The service was fast, friendly and very helpful. (I have that soap thing with cilantro and they were super accomodating.) The space is festive and quite large. They've got space upstairs for parties or private dining as well. The prices are medium to high for a main (~$16) Also, there's a salsa bar with feta! Endless feta!! If they had been pumping the heat, I'd have ordered a fancy drink for sure. Will have to head back in the summer. 9/10 would eat there again.

Good food. Vegan options. Friendly staff. Big portions. Tyler the man server is awesome. Nice decor

Taco bar was not open when I went was a little disapointed as I had read the reviews about it, unsure if they are bringing it back or not. Service was great and friendly. The bean soup was AMAZING. Had a steak taco and chicken and found them both dry. Dessert was well presented with the crepes and icecream. Will return just hopefully when the taco bar is open

Chips and salsa were really good. A variety of sauces and salsas for you to choose from close by. The seafood tacos are excellent as well as every item I have ordered this time and past times. As satisfying as it gets; coming from someone who has enjoyed a wide and excellent variety of Mexican food while living in southern California 👍

Overall it was a terrible experience for a couple of reasons: 1) When my friends and I received our drinks we noticed that there were three fruit flies in one of our drinks. After bringing it up to the server, she made it seem like it was a small issue and simply asked if I wanted another drink. 2) When we did receive our food, it was room temperature and very bland (like it didn't taste like there was any salt added) especially the meat. I personally got pork and beef tacos and couldn't tell the difference between the two meats. For the prices they are charging and the reviews on google I was expecting A LOT more. It's safe to say I will never go back, and I sincerely hope anyone reading this gives this place a second thought.
