Rise Above

Great food and atmosphere. This was the only place I could find delicious food (vegan or otherwise) on my trip to Niagara Falls. The restaurant scene around Niagara Falls is terrible and I traveled to Rise above twice because of that. And I was not disappointed. My first time there I had a pesto pasta. Was so fresh and delicious! The next time I went for brunch and ordered the coconut lime scones with fresh raspberry jam. AMAAZING! I got another order to go. Run don’t walk to get these scones with the jam! I give it four stars because I did order a chickpea flour omelette that I did not like. But they were more than willing to swap it out for another dish without charging me. Great service. Great food.

**Make sure you make a reservation for this place to guarantee seating!** The staff is super friendly. The food is phenomenal. The menu is limited in variety compared to other vegan restaurants I've gone to. You can't go wrong with anything on this menu so no real complaints. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate. Totally recommend.

Fantastic dinner, squash tacos and tourtiere wow !!! Crispy seitan we will be dreaming of you !!! Excellent service! it’s a busy place and it should be, they have a special thing going on there and they handle it well. Our server was so accommodating with our fussy little 3 year old who enjoyed every last bite. The atmosphere is funky and relaxed and elegant and comfortable. What an easy place to to enjoy visiting. Can’t wait to return :)

I wish there was a way to just tip the kitchen staff because the food was the only enjoyable part of our experience at Rise Above. From the moment we entered, we were being rushed. We were told multiple times, by multiple different servers that they had a reservation coming in at 6 o'clock that evening (we entered the restaurant at 3:55). We were first told by the hostess, as we were being seated by our first server, again when she came to give us our water and once more when yet another server came to take our food order. We were ignored for our entire meal once it was served to us (no quality control or the option to order more drinks). When we were finished, we were brought our bill despite wanting to try their desserts. My fiance and I were timing ourselves the whole time we were there because we didn't want to overstay our welcome at this restaurant and rushed through our meal; we were at this establishment for about an hour from start to finish (we left at 5:05). We felt extremely unwelcome by the hostess/servers and would only consider coming back to Rise Above because the food was so delicious. At least one good thing came from being rushed, we were able to walk across the street and get our desserts from Beechwood Donuts.

Highly recommended, on every level. Staff excellent. Food amazing. Atmosphere peaceful. Pricing reasonable.
