Wilson Centre Family Practice

My family has been going to this practice for many years, and our family doctor retired last year. We have been seeing miscellaneous doctors since then, and we recently received a letter in the mail basically stating that they do not have a replacement doctor to pair our old doctors clientele to, so they will be dropping us as patients. Absolutely horrible. P.S. they apparently take an hour/hour and a half lunch break every day in which time they have absolutely nobody answering the phones. Try to get in at some other practice because it seems they don't care about anyone there.

Staff is so rude, not one I’ve had an encounter with has been nice, they all seem to hate their job; doctors are nice though. Trying to book an appointment during early afternoon is so difficult, they’re always out for lunch. We had a family doctor that resigned their position as a doctor at this location and we were dropped as patients… sheesh!

Have been going here for 15 years. Always have been met with courtesy and respect by all the staff. If the staff are being rude to you, maybe you deserve it. You will be treated how you treat others.

We started seeing Dr. Kendra Strong three years ago when our daughter was born. She is amazing! Super attentive, patient, and kind. She is so good with my two kids. The clinic does vaccinations and the nurse is wonderful. She is professional and informative. I’ve always had pleasant experiences with the receptionist and the office staff. They’re always able to get me or my kids in for an appointment within a few days, if not the same day I’m always given the option of seeing another doctor if I need a sooner appointment. All in all, such a great team! So happy we started coming here!

This doctor's office never answers the phone during their stated office hours. This week I called 5 days in a row and was continuously put through to the "we are on lunch break" message no matter what hour of the day I called. Their after-hours emergency line which you get put through to automatically if you they don't answer the phone can do nothing at all except put you through to 911 their words to me. Worst service ever but good luck finding a different family doctor taking on new patients at a different clinic.

Dr. Kendra is the kindest caring doctor! She takes her time with you and genuinely listens to you. I’m thankful to have her as my doctor. They are a busy office though for sure.

This has been my family's doctor office since I moved to B.C. 21 years ago and I am so disheartened by the service. If you are seeing any other person other than your actual family doctor, good luck. To the on-call doctor I unfortunately don't have a name because the receptionist at the time gave me a false name on puprose, I truly hope you are happy one day and are able to treat your patients with a little more empathy, kindness, and respect. Taking your hardships out on other people who are struggling says a lot about you as a human being, but especially as a doctor.

Although the parking is a little sparse and the front desk is always busy hard to get through on the phone, everyone seems to genuinely try to get through the volume. Dr Kendra is amazing! She is available more than most, is rarely every late for an appointment often early, and her open, friendly and down to earth demeanor has allowed for each member of our family to be comfortable with her guidance. She spends a good amount of time during the appointment in order to diagnose appropriately. If she's still taking new patients, I'd highly recommend her.

Dr.Barron has been my family doctor for my whole life! He is fantastic, and sometimes I speak with Dr.G as well, and she has always been great... however, every encounter I have had with one MOA in particular has made me contemplate leaving this practice. This MOA has been there since I was a child, and has always had a sour attitude. Probably wouldn't be the fist to think so. I believe her name is Sheeva. Please, if you do not like your job dealing with the public, find another occupation. This role requires empathy, generosity and positivity. You have no idea what each person is going through when they walk through the door, so be mindful.

What happend to the old staff they were very nice the new staff are rude ignorant and should have more compassion and maybe find a new field of work the doctors are great but the front desk staff should take a lesson in people skills.
